President Biden’s support as the 2024 Democrat nominee has been shaky. But now it might be on life support.
Because a top Democrat made one announcement that has Joe Biden on edge.
President Joe Biden’s approval ratings are barely in the forties.
Many of his own supporters are worried that at 80 years old, he might not be mentally and physically fit to run for another term.
The President already has several long-shot Democrat challengers such as Robert Kennedy Jr., who are attempting to beat him in the primary.
But one Democrat who’s been rumored to take on Biden for the Democrat nomination, may have just thrown his hat in the ring.
California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) has given mixed signals for months over whether or not he’s going to run for president in 2024.
He’s been quoted as saying “It’s time for all of us to get on the train and buck up,” regarding his support for Joe Biden.
But he’s also weighed in on a number of national issues, including attacking Republican presidential candidate and current Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis.
Newsom wanted to debate DeSantis last year after the Florida Governor sent asylum seekers to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, in an effort to prove how the Biden border crisis had gotten out of hand.
“Hey, Gov. Ron DeSantis, clearly you’re struggling, distracted, and busy playing politics with people’s lives,” Governor Newsom said in an X post.
“Since you have only one overriding need – attention – let’s take this up and debate. I’ll bring my hair gel. You bring your hairspray. Name the time before Election Day.”

It looks as though Newsom has his wish, as the two Governors are going to debate on Fox News on November 30.
The debate will be moderated by Sean Hannity.
“I’m looking forward to providing viewers with an informative debate about everyday issues and governing philosophies that impact the lives of every American,” Hannity said.

Gavin Newsom has repeatedly said he’s supporting Biden as the nominee for the Democrat Party. But his constant need for being the center of attention is only fueling rumors that he will eventually announce his bid for the White House.
Meanwhile, Ron DeSantis will likely mop the floor with Newsom by showing off his record as Governor of Florida and how the Sunshine State is outperforming California in a multitude of ways.
