The Left has never been serious about stopping illegal aliens from entering the U.S. It’s almost as if they’re encouraging it to happen.
And a Democrat senator said something unthinkable about illegal immigration that will leave you speechless.
The crisis at the southern border between the United States and Mexico has hit a boiling point thanks to the Biden administration.
President Joe Biden and his border czar, Vice President Kamala Harris, have done little to nothing to stop the mass influx of illegal aliens from entering the country.
Their fellow Democrat pals in Washington, D.C. have also done nothing to stop the crisis.
But one U.S. Senator just made things worse by making an absurd statement about illegal immigrants.
While celebrating the twelfth year of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program which was created by President Barack Obama, Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) said that DACA illegal migrants are “the future” of America.
He also added that they are “absolutely essential” to the United States’ economy.
“First and foremost, we are a nation of immigrants … [T]hey’re the future of our country. They can bring to us things that we need desperately. They’ve earned the right to live in this country without fear,” Durbin said while speaking on the Senate floor on Wednesday to celebrate 12 years of DACA.
He also said that jobs in America are in need of foreigners to fill them, even though Biden is already doing just that.
“We are in desperate need of immigrants coming to this country for so many reasons … business owners in my state tell me they need more skilled workers … they’re desperate for them,” Durbin continued.
He also pitched his DREAM Act legislation to his fellow lawmakers, which would provide green cards and naturalized citizenship to millions of illegal immigrants who are currently residing in the U.S.
“It’s time for Congress to get to work on a bipartisan basis and pass the DREAM Act. It’s the right thing and it’s long overdue,” the senator said.
It’s utterly ridiculous how Leftist politicians continue to prioritize illegal aliens over legal American citizens.
Almost everyone is in favor of legal immigration.
If someone and their family wants to come to the United States legally and start a new life here, then by all means that’s fine. But they must do it the right way by coming here legally.
Democrats like Sen. Durbin seem to want to encourage illegal immigration through legislation like the DREAM Act.
