The Left hates when things don’t go their way. That’s why they lash out like children.

And Democrats are throwing an all out tantrum over this radical Leftist’s termination.

Democrat Senators Cry Foul Over CBS Canceling Stephen Colbert’s Late Show

CBS has pulled the plug on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, igniting a fierce backlash from Democratic senators who suspect political foul play. Stephen Colbert broke the news on Thursday, announcing that the late-night program will not return after its final season concludes in May 2026. CBS, however, maintains that the decision was “purely financial.”

Democratic lawmakers wasted no time linking the cancellation to President Donald Trump, pointing to Colbert’s recent jab at CBS’ parent company, Paramount.

Just days prior, Colbert had criticized Paramount’s $16 million settlement with Trump over a 60 Minutes interview last year with Kamala Harris.

“CBS canceled Colbert’s show just THREE DAYS after Colbert called out CBS parent company Paramount for its $16M settlement with Trump — a deal that looks like bribery,” Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) declared, hinting at a deliberate political maneuver.

Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) took to X on Wednesday, demanding transparency: “If Paramount and CBS ended the Late Show for political reasons, the public deserves to know. And deserves better.”

“CBS sells out… again,” Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-NM) lamented, amplifying the accusations.

The senators’ outrage echoed the sentiments of many left-leaning social media users. “This is a political favor to Trump, plain and simple,” film journalist Daniel Howat asserted.

Another X user questioned, “It’s a complete coincidence that this comes on the heels of CBS bowing to Trump’s demands and Colbert mocking them for it?” A third added, “So, we’re all pretty much agreed that CBS cancelled The Late Show because Mr. Colbert calls out Trump’s bullsh*t, right?”

Some, however, don’t see a conspiracy. Some argue the cancellation reflects the show’s declining relevance. “Colbert abandoned the precious gift of making everyone laugh in favor of nasty pandering to deranged leftists,” radio host Buck Sexton remarked. “It was selfish and cowardly. He richly deserves the cancellation of his sh*tty show.”

Others highlighted past missteps, with one X user sharing a 2021 clip of Colbert’s widely mocked COVID-19 vaccine dance routine, commenting, “If you can look at this photo and still not understand why Colbert was canceled, you’re in the mother of all political bubbles.”

Another user ridiculed Schiff’s concerns, joking, “If Stephen Colbert can’t get paid millions to make bad jokes on TV anymore, our democracy is already lost.”

Viewership data paints a grim picture. “Colbert is barely drawing 2.0 ratings. His share of the 18-49 demographic is 200k. Mid-tier YouTubers triple that,” an X user pointed out, dismissing political motives.

“He didn’t get canceled for ‘political reasons.’ He got canceled because Late Night TV is deader than Elvis,” they added.

The end of The Late Show marks a turning point for late-night television. As younger viewers gravitate toward streaming and new media, traditional formats like Colbert’s are losing ground.
