Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s days are numbered. His complete bungling of the Ohio railway disaster has proven he isn’t fit to lead.
And Pete Buttigieg went off the rails after being betrayed by the last person he expected.
For the most part, Democrats and their pals are given softball interviews and glowing media coverage by almost every major media network.
Contrast that with the constant media smears and attacks against Republicans like Donald Trump.
But sometimes even the media can’t spin a story to make a Democrat look good, so they drop them like a hot potato.
That’s exactly what The Washington Post just did with Pete Buttigieg.
The Washington Post investigated “every possible regulatory change” implemented by the Trump administration and discovered that none of them were responsible for the railway derailment in East Palestine, Ohio.
“We decided to examine every possible regulatory change made under Trump that could be related to the accident and assess whether it could have made an impact,” read a review published Monday by Glenn Kessler at the Washington Post.
“From our analysis, none of the regulatory changes made during the Trump administration at this point can be cited as contributing to the accident,” Kessler added.
As U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg was called out for erroneously alleging that a proposed rule dropped in 2018 (during the Trump administration) contributed to the train disaster in Ohio, the study of “every possible regulatory change” was done.
Even a member of Biden’s administration, Jennifer Homendy, of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), termed Buttigieg’s assertions concerning the East Palestine train derailment “misinformation.”
The New York Times also admitted in an article on Thursday that assertions that former President Donald Trump’s administration was responsible for the train catastrophe in East Palestine because it reversed a rail safety rule are false.
But it was too late by then, as Buttigieg’s bogus assertion from February 14 had already propagated on social media, where others regurgitated the transportation secretary’s words, spreading confusion and falsehoods across the internet.
While Buttigieg was pointing the finger at Trump, the 45th president visited East Palestine, where he provided truckloads of bottled water to people concerned about water quality in the area after a train derailment dumped dangerous chemicals into the environment.
Following Trump’s visit to the Ohio town, Buttigieg went to East Palestine the next day.
Meanwhile, President Joe Biden has yet to visit the disaster zone.
The White House is surely in a state of panic as major media allies are throwing Pete Buttigieg to the wolves for his egregious lies.
And with the Biden plagued by his own laundry list of scandals, the last thing he needs is another embarrassment.
That’s why Buttigieg may be shown the door sooner rather than later – his political career being dealt a mortal blow.
