The Democrat Party is in trouble. Their members are facing controversy left and right.
And the U.S. Capitol erupts in chaos after a top Republican announces a plan to ruin this Democrat’s career.
In a stand against leftist hypocrisy, Rep. Nancy Mace from South Carolina has launched a resolution to slap down Rep. Ilhan Omar from Minnesota, aiming to censure her and yank her off all committee spots. This comes after Omar’s disgusting remarks that seemed to mock the brutal k*lling of conservative powerhouse Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA.
Mace didn’t hold back in calling out Omar’s true colors. “Ilhan Omar has shown us exactly who she is: someone who defends political violence and refuses to condemn the loss of innocent lives when it doesn’t suit her agenda, even the cold-blooded assassination of Charlie Kirk,” Mace stated.
She drove the point home, making it clear that actions like this can’t go unpunished. “If you mock a political assassination and celebrate murder, you don’t get to keep your committee seat, you get consequences,” Mace said.
The firestorm kicked off just one day after Kirk was gunned down in cold blood. Instead of showing any shred of decency, Omar lashed out at the wave of tributes pouring in for the fallen activist.
In a raw interview with the far-left outfit Zeteo on September 11, Omar didn’t mince words. “There are a lot of people who are talking about him [Kirk] just wanting to have a civil debate,” Omar said. “These people are full of s—t and it’s important for us to call them out while we feel anger and sadness.”
She doubled down, ripping into Kirk’s legacy without mercy. “There is nothing more f—ked up than to pretend that his words and actions haven’t been recorded and in existence for the last decade or so,” the Leftist said. She also accused Charlie Kirk of putting “hateful rhetoric” on social media.
Not content with that, Omar took to X to spread more venom, sharing a video that blasted Democrats and celebrities for daring to humanize Kirk. The clip labeled the conservative firebrand as a “reprehensible human being” and a “stochastic terrorist.”
Mace’s team wasn’t having any of it, pointing out how Omar’s outbursts crossed every line. They claimed that Omar’s heinous comments “demeaned Charlie Kirk, belittled his grieving family, and all but blamed him for his own assassination.”
This isn’t just talk—Mace’s resolution demands real accountability, pushing for a full House vote to censure Omar. If it goes through, she’d have to stand front and center in the chamber while Speaker Mike Johnson from Louisiana admonishes her.
On top of that, Omar would lose her cushy positions on the House Budget Committee and the House Education and Workforce Committee, stripping her of influence where it hurts.
Even President Trump weighed in from the Oval Office, backing the move without hesitation. He told reporters that Omar deserves to be booted from those roles.
Trump pulled no punches in his assessment. “I think she’s a disgraceful person,” he stated. “You know, I think she’s a disgraceful person, a loser. It’s amazing the way people vote — I know it’s people from her area, maybe all over the world. They got here, and they vote her in. It’s hard to believe, but I think she’s a disgusting person.”
This wouldn’t be the first time Congress has cracked down on bad behavior. Earlier this year, a mix of lawmakers from both sides censured Rep. Al Green from Texas for causing chaos during President Trump’s speech to Congress.
Looking back to 2023, the House didn’t hesitate to censure former Rep. Adam Schiff from California for pushing wild tales about Trump’s 2016 campaign supposedly teaming up with Russia.
That same year, ex-Rep. Jamaal Bowman from New York got hit with censure after he yanked a fire alarm in the Capitol right in the thick of a key vote to keep the government running. And Rep. Rashida Tlaib from Michigan faced the same fate for cheering on Hamas’ savage October 7 attack on Israel as some kind of “resistance” and pushing to wipe out the Jewish state.
If Mace’s push succeeds, Omar would join a rare club as the 29th member of Congress ever to face censure in American history, a fitting end for someone who’s repeatedly shown contempt for conservative values and American heroes like Charlie Kirk.
