Harris’s presidential campaign has just begun. But it may be dead on arrival after she received this devastating news.

And Vice President Harris is in real danger of losing this crucial Leftist voting demographic in the 2024 election.

In a recent poll, Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein has surged ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris among Arab American voters, holding a significant lead of nearly 18 points.

The poll, conducted by the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) and Mo Maraqa, shows that 45.3 percent of Arab American voters support Stein, while Harris lags behind with 27.5 percent.

The poll also reveals that former President Donald Trump has garnered the support of 2 percent of Arab American voters, with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. receiving 1.3 percent.

Notably, a significant portion of the electorate remains undecided, with 17.9 percent not yet choosing a candidate, and 6 percent stating they will not vote.

Abed Ayoub, Executive Director of the ADC, shared the poll results on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday. The poll gathered responses from 3,130 individuals between July 27 and 28, although the margin of error was not provided.

Harris’s performance among Arab American voters, while better than President Joe Biden’s low seven percent showing in a previous ADC poll from May, still falls short compared to the broader support Biden received in 2020. During that election, a Zogby Analytics poll commissioned by the Arab American Institute (AAI) indicated that Arab Americans favored Biden over Trump 59 percent to 35 percent.

This earlier poll, conducted from October 4-12, 2020, had a margin of error of ±3.5 percentage points.

The Arab American and Muslim vote played a crucial role in Biden’s narrow victories in key swing states like Michigan and Wisconsin in 2020. However, his handling of the Israel-Hamas conflict has led to a significant decline in support among these communities, particularly in Michigan, where feelings of betrayal run deep.

Before the Michigan primary, New York Times columnist Charles Blow reported on the dissatisfaction among Arab American and Muslim leaders in the state. Dawud Walid, Executive Director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) Michigan, starkly remarked, according to Blow, that for many Muslims, only a miraculous act like “resurrecting 29,000 dead Palestinians like Jesus” would be sufficient for them to consider supporting Biden again.

Dawud Walid, Executive Director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) Michigan, starkly remarked that for many Muslims, only a miraculous act like “resurrecting 29,000 dead Palestinians like Jesus” would be sufficient for them to consider supporting Biden again.

For instance, Biden won Michigan by a margin of 154,188 votes in 2020, but in the 2024 Democratic primary, 101,430 Democrats cast “uncommitted” votes in protest of Biden. Similarly, in Minnesota, 45,914 primary voters chose “uncommitted,” surpassing the 44,593 votes by which Hillary Clinton won the state in 2016. In Wisconsin, the number of “uninstructed” protest ballots reached 48,812, more than double Biden’s 2020 winning margin of 20,682 votes.

These figures suggest that if this discontented group were to abstain from voting in the general election, it could severely jeopardize Harris’s chances.

This is without even considering the potential sway of swing voters concerned with issues like inflation, the economy, immigration, crime, national security, and the auto industry.

Moreover, the handling of the Israel-Hamas conflict may also influence Harris’s choice of running mate. One potential candidate, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, has been seen as a rising star within the Democratic Party. However, some liberal commentators worry that his pro-Israel stance could alienate voters in Michigan and negatively impact Democratic candidates, such as Rep. Elissa Slotkin, who is running for Senate against former U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers.

Overall, Kamala Harris and the Democrats have a major problem on their hands.

In a swing state like Michigan, which holds a large Arab-American population, Harris can’t afford to lose support among voters in that demographic.

The results would be devastating for the Vice President, and she could very well lose the presidential election because of it.
