The Radical Left’s mob is getting bolder with every passing day. Even violence is on the table.
And an assassination attempt on this Supreme Court Justice sent D.C. into lockdown.
In a federal court on Friday, a Florida man pled guilty to making death threats against Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts in a voicemail in July.
Roberts was part of the 6-3 majority on the Court that voted to overturn Roe v. Wade in June of last year.
The would-be assassin was identified as Neal Sidhwaney, 43, of Fernandina Beach, Florida, by the Department of Justice (DOJ).
According to POLITICO:
In the voicemail, Sidhwaney introduced himself and he had a message that he wanted the U.S. Marshals to deliver to Roberts that included “I will f*****g kill you,” according to a court document filed in connection with the plea hearing last week.
“Sidhwaney was arrested in August and has been in custody since,” POLITICO continued:
The psychologist who evaluated him found the defendant competent to stand trial and of “superior” intelligence, but suffering from “delusional disorder with psychosis.” He’s under treatment with an anti-psychotic drug, the doctor said.
Sidhwaney could receive up to five years in prison on the charge, but defendants typically receive less time under federal guidelines.
“It’s not immediately clear why [Sidwhaney] allegedly wanted to kill the justice,” Mary Margaret Olohan of The Daily Signal said.
“The threats followed the most recent slew of Supreme Court rulings issued in late June, one of which was 303 Creative v. Elenis, in which the Supreme Court ruled that Colorado cannot force graphic designer Lorie Smith to create art that violates her religious beliefs,” Olohan noted.
In addition to ruling with the majority of the court in Dobbs, Roberts was chastised by the left for agreeing that Colorado infringed the Christian designer’s religious freedom.
303 Creative, like Dobbs, was decided by a 6-3 vote. In both cases, the majority was made up of the same six justices.
CatholicVote reported in September that the US Marshals Service “said it was ‘unaware’ of ‘targeted’ threats to Supreme Court justices” in a “email sent weeks after an assassination attempt on Justice Brett Kavanaugh.”
The Marshals are a Department of Justice agency. Kavanaugh is one of the six justices named previously.
According to CatholicVote’s September reporting:
[Nicholas] Roske, a then-26-year-old California man, took a cross-country plane ride and arrived in front of Kavanaugh’s Maryland home at around 1:00 a.m. on June 8, 2022, armed with a Glock pistol. He was spotted by U.S. Marshals, eventually surrendered to law enforcement, and was arrested near the Kavanaugh residence.
His online communications and own words to police clearly indicate that the then-pending [Dobbs] decision was the main motive in Roske’s failed attempt on Kavanaugh’s life.
“In addition to his support of abortion, Roske was also concerned about Kavanaugh and other conservative justices’ past decisions on gun control,” CatholicVote added.
