Voting for in the Republican primary has already begun. But for this GOP member, it’s not too late to enter the ring.
And a Republican senator just threw a wrench in the election after announcing their campaign.
Last Friday morning, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) made a presidential announcement that had everyone stunned.
He officially announced that he is launching a #NeverNikki campaign.
The campaign will be used to try and combat former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley’s (R) ambitions to win the Republican nomination for president.
“Based on her record and campaign, I don’t see how any thoughtful or informed libertarian or conservative should vote for @NikkiHaley. If you agree, let your voice be heard,” Paul said in an X post.

He then provided a website link where people can go and let Haley know they don’t support her.
“Go to nevernikki.net today so we can let her and everyone else know she doesn’t have your support. If you’re unsure, keep reading and following,” the senator said in another X post.

He also posted a video on the social media platform, where he explained that he is “not yet ready to make a decision” on which candidate to endorse, “but I am ready to make a decision on someone I cannot support. So I’m announcing this morning I am ‘Never Nikki.'”

Sen. Paul also listed numerous attacks on Haley, revealing why she wouldn’t be the right candidate for Republicans to support.
“Haley supports Biden and McConnell and the forever-war crowd on funding for the war in Ukraine,” one his attacks said.
“She even personally received millions of dollars from the arms merchants who benefit from the war, a conflict of interest that undergirds her eagerness for foreign military intervention,” he said in another.
“This position isn’t new, either – as governor of South Carolina, she gave tax dollars to those same arms merchants, and they showered her with campaign contributions and a seat on their board when she left office.”
Paul’s stance on Haley is one that more and more staunch conservatives are taking.
Conservative pundits like Tucker Carlson fear the idea of Haley becoming president as well as her possibly becoming Donald Trump’s vice president.
But with Trump’s sizable lead in the polls, it’s unlikely Haley will sniff the Republican nomination this time around.
