The Left is making it their goal to try and destroy Donald Trump. But most of the time, their methods are highly unethical.
And this Democrat Senator has egg on his face for this insane attack on Trump.
Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) sparked outrage on Monday after he attributed the disastrous 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal, which led to the death of 13 U.S. service members, to former President Donald Trump.
The Biden/Harris-led chaotic withdrawal, marked by an ISIS suicide bombing at Hamid Karzai International Airport, left a lasting impact on both U.S. credibility and global perception.
“Trump owns the Afghanistan withdrawal,” Murphy declared in a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. “He cut a bad deal with the Taliban to withdraw (he takes credit for it!), forcing Biden to clean it up and making a chaotic exit practically inevitable.”

Murphyâs comments came in response to remarks Trump made during a speech at the National Guard Association of the United States conference in Detroit.
Trump directly criticized the Biden administration, saying, “Caused by Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, the humiliation in Afghanistan set off the collapse of American credibility and respect all around the world.”
Itâs important to note that President Joe Biden publicly took responsibility for the outcome of the withdrawal during a press conference in January 2022.
“There was no way to get out of Afghanistan, after 20 years, easily,” Biden stated at the time. “Not possible no matter when you did it. And I make no apologies for what I did.”
Vice President Kamala Harris, who was reportedly a key advisor on the decision to pull U.S. forces from Afghanistan, confirmed her role in the decision during a CNN interview with Dana Bash.
When asked if she was “the last person in the room” before Biden made his decision, Harris responded, âYes,â and expressed confidence in the plan.
Murphy’s attempt to shift responsibility to Trump met with significant criticism.
The popular Military Arms Channel fired back, writing, “F*ck you. Seriously. This is disgusting behavior. You know full well Trump had nothing to do with Biden ignoring his generals and doing the withdraw the way he did. Thatâs 100% on him.”
Political commentator Stephen L. Miller also refuted Murphy’s claims, noting that âTrump didnât close the airfield or open up the prisons, which led to the bottlenecking of people falling off wheelwells, and 13 soldiers being m*rdered.â
RealClearPolitics senior writer Mark Hemingway labeled Murphyâs comments as a “vile attempt to deny responsibility,” emphasizing that “Biden was not âforcedâ to do anything. Itâs his fault.”
Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL) joined the chorus of critics, pointing out that both Presidents Bush and Obama also engaged in negotiations with the Taliban. However, he highlighted a critical difference: âBiden withdrew UNCONDITIONALLY⌠pulling our military before our civilians and allies. Your defense of the idiotic and catastrophic wonât wear well, Senator.â
UmmâŚBush and Obama also negotiated with the Taliban. The Taliban didnât live up their end of the deal with themâŚOR Trump.

The debate over who bears ultimate responsibility for the tragic events in Afghanistan continues among the Right and the Left, but the backlash against Murphy suggests that many are unwilling to accept efforts to pin the chaotic withdrawal solely on Trump’s administration.
