China is the real threat on the world stage. And they aren’t slowing down anytime soon.
Now Marco Rubio exposed a terrifying Chinese plan for America.
Rubio’s Strong Condemnation Bolsters US Support for Hong Kong Activists
Secretary of State Marco Rubio issued a forceful condemnation on July 26, 2025, of Hong Kong authorities’ latest arrest warrants and bounties targeting pro-democracy activists, including those residing in the United States, reinforcing America’s commitment to protecting fundamental freedoms.
In a statement, Rubio declared, “The extraterritorial targeting of Hong Kongers who are exercising their fundamental freedoms is a form of transnational repression. We will not tolerate the Hong Kong government’s attempts to apply its national security laws to silence or intimidate Americans or anyone on U.S. soil.”
His resolute stance underscores the Trump administration’s dedication to countering authoritarian overreach, positioning the US as a steadfast defender of human rights and democratic values against Beijing’s encroachments.
Hong Kong’s Warrants Escalate Global Tensions
On July 25, Hong Kong police issued arrest warrants for 19 individuals associated with the Hong Kong Parliament, a Canada-based electoral organizing committee, accusing them of attempting to subvert state power “using illegal means,” per the National Security Department of the Hong Kong Police Force.
The targeted activists include businessman Elmer Yuen, commentator Victor Ho, and activists Johnny Fok and Tony Choi, who previously faced HK$1 million ($127,000) bounties, with HK$200,000 ($25,480) rewards now offered for the remaining 15.
The Hong Kong Parliament responded on July 27, accusing the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) of “extending its coercive reach beyond China’s borders and infringing upon the sovereignty of democratic nations.”
The group, which seeks to represent Hong Kongers globally and expose CCP authoritarianism, per its website, reflects growing resistance to Beijing’s crackdown.
According to the Hong Kong Free Press, these warrants bring the total number of individuals wanted for alleged national security violations to 34, highlighting an intensifying campaign against dissent.
US Leadership Against Beijing’s Erosion of Hong Kong Autonomy
Rubio’s statement framed the warrants as part of Beijing’s broader retreat from its 1997 handover commitments to preserve Hong Kong’s autonomy and freedoms, stating, “With this new round of arrest warrants and bounties, the Hong Kong government continues to erode the autonomy that Beijing itself promised to the people of Hong Kong.”
The Trump administration’s vocal opposition aligns with its broader strategy to confront CCP influence, as seen in recent trade negotiations and sanctions.
By defending activists on US soil and condemning Hong Kong’s extraterritorial actions, Rubio and Trump reinforce America’s role as a global leader in protecting democratic principles, signaling unwavering support for Hong Kongers and challenging Beijing’s attempts to suppress free expression beyond its borders.
