The radical Leftist congresswoman doesn’t always respond well to criticism. In fact, she usually blows her top.
And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez loses her mind after being betrayed by CNN.
CNN last week referred to Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) as a “public relations agent for Hamas,” causing an uproar among Omar’s allies and “squad” members in Congress.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is one of those “squad” members who did not take kindly to CNN’s description of Omar.
“How on earth is this kind of blatant Islamophobia so casually accepted without pushback? This is shocking,” Ocasio-Cortez said on X.

The comments that drew so much ire from Ocasio-Cortez, were made by Scott Jennings, who is a Republican strategist.
While appearing on CNN’s “Newsnight” and speaking about Rep. Omar, Jennings said that he’s “surprised, that in the year of our Lord 2024, there is a public relations agent for Hamas sitting in the United States Congress.”
After the events of October 7 when Hamas launched a brutal attack on Israel, Omar was very critical of how Israel was handling it’s response to the attack, according to Fox News.
“Palestinians have few recourses for justice and accountability. Attacks by the IDF and settlers against Palestinians are regularly met with impunity. Efforts to see justice in international courts are stonewalled by the Israeli government, with U.S. support,” Omar said.
“As the world is condemning Hamas’s attacks, we must also oppose an Israeli military response that has already taken the lives of hundreds of Palestinians, including nearly two dozen children.”
Jennings made a rational point that the congresswoman from Minnesota often seems to prioritize the interests of Middle Eastern countries and factions over the United States and its allies.
It’s not at all Islamophobic to suggest that.
But of course, Ocasio-Cortez and other members of the “squad” had to overreact to Jennings’ comments made on CNN.
“Scott Jennings’ comments are reminiscent of the anti-Muslim bigotry we saw in the George Bush post-9/11 era. It is disgusting and must not be normalized. CNN should denounce this hateful, dangerous, and blatant Islamophobia immediately,” Rep. Cori Bush posted on X.

Rep. Ayanna Pressley, another “squad” member lashed out at the network with a post of her own on X, which read, “Blatant Islamophobia has no place in our society – let alone on primetime TV. It’s dangerous, unacceptable, and cannot be normalized. Go your back, @IlhanMN.”

The United States would be a much better place if the so-called “squad” would disband already.
