Joe Biden styles himself as a “devout Catholic.” The Bishops have something to say about that.
And these Catholic Bishops smacked Joe Biden with an embarrassing loss.
High-profile supposed “Catholics” like Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi have run into problems with the Catholic Church in the past.
Recently, Nancy Pelosi was denied Holy Communion by Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone in her home in San Francisco for her continued advocacy of abortion.
“I am hereby notifying you that you are not to present yourself for Holy Communion and, should you do so, you are not to be admitted to Holy Communion, until such time as you publically repudiate your advocacy for the legitimacy of abortion and confess and receive absolution of this grave sin in the sacrament of Penance,” Cordileone’s letter said.
“After numerous attempts to speak with her to help her understand the grave evil she is perpetrating, the scandal she is causing, and the danger to her own soul she is risking, I have determined that the point has come in which I must make a public declaration that she is not to be admitted to Holy Communion,” Cordileone wrote.
President Biden has made many comments at odds with the traditional teachings of the Catholic Church including his advocacy of abortion, same-sex marriage, and disapproval of banning child gender transition surgeries.
But his most recent actions have ignited a firestorm against him once again.
President Biden slammed the ruling by a federal judge in Texas rejecting the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) approval of an abortion pill as a “political, ideological” attack.
U.S. District Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk, a Trump appointee, ruled that the FDA improperly rushed the approval process for the pill, violating federal standards and allowing an unsafe drug regimen to be on the market.
A three-judge panel from the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in Louisiana, in a 2-1 Wednesday night decision, granted a partial stay of Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk’s April 7 ruling, which threatened to reverse FDA approval of the abortion drug entirely and halted distribution.
However, the panel let stand the reinstatement of mifepristone restrictions the FDA had removed in 2016 and 2021.
Biden continued, saying “If this ruling were to stand, then there will be virtually no prescription, approved by the FDA, that would be safe from these kinds of political, ideological attacks.”
But Biden’s own Church leadership came out celebrating the court, further showing his ignorance or hatred of the Catholic Church he purports to be a part of.
“The 5th Circuit was right to recognize the dangers of unrestricted chemical abortion to women’s health and safety. We are grateful for the restoration of protections and any limitation on the use of these lethal drugs.” Bishop Michael F. Burbidge of Arlington, Virginia, chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Pro-Life Activities, said Friday.
“We hope that the final ruling will result in the removal of chemical abortion from the market altogether. Abortion is never the right choice for a difficult or unexpected pregnancy, as it always ends one life and risks another,” the bishops’ statement continued.
“We pray ardently that our nation will authentically support and accompany women so that ending the lives of their children alone in their own homes will be unthinkable.”
This and countless other reasons are why Catholic Archbishop Charles Chaput said last year Mr. Biden’s apostasy on the abortion issue is only the most repugnant example. He’s not alone. But in a sane world, his unique public leadership would make — or should make — public consequences unavoidable.”
“Mr. Biden is not in communion with the Catholic faith. And any priest who now provides Communion to the president participates in his hypocrisy,” the Archbishop concluded.
