Americans are growing tired of the Left’s awful policies. Now they’re desperate to remove them from power.
And this Democrat governor could be out of a job after being smacked with this recall effort.
California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) is on the ropes again.
After beating a recall attempt in 2021, he’s now facing another recall by the conservative group, Rescue California, according to a report from POLITICO.
Rescue California “pointed to Newsom’s ambitions and his role as a super surrogate for President Joe Biden’s 2024 reelection campaign,” as their reasoning for brining forth recall papers to Newsom’s office.
“Gavin Newsom has abandoned the state to advance his presidential ambitions, leaving behind a $73 billion budget deficit and a public safety, immigration and education crisis,” Rescue California campaign director Anne Dunsmore said to POLITICO.
“California needs a full-time governor who is fully focused on the serious problems the state and its citizens are facing. This may be our last opportunity to rescue and restore our state, while we highlight for the rest of the country the destruction Newsom has left in his wake.”
Newsom’s handling of immigration is one of the major issues that have led to the recall effort.
According to POLITICO:
Dunsmore and organizers said they were motivated by several policy decisions in California, including the state granting health benefits to undocumented immigrants; laws designed to change the criminal justice system that she said have contributed to crime and the rise of smash-and-grab robberies; high taxes; spending billons of dollars on homelessness and social services that have done little to solve the problem; and prolonged school closures during Covid that led to learning loss.
As for Newsom and his team, they are not taking the recall attempt lightly.
In fact, a spokesman for Gov. Newsom, Nathan Click, said that they are “taking it seriously.”
“These Trump Republicans are targeting Gov. Newsom because he is out there defending democracy and fighting for the reelection of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. He’s not going to be distracted from the that fight,” he added.
“Democracy’s on the ballot, and he’s going to keep fighting.”
Newsom himself commented on the matter through an X post, saying, “Trump Republicans are launching another wasteful recall campaign to distract us from the existential fight for democracy and reproductive freedom. We will defeat them.”

It says a lot when a governor like Newsom will now have faced two recall efforts.
Maybe just maybe it’s not the fault of so-called “Trump Republicans,” but instead the awful policies that Gavin Newsom has brought forth on the state of California.
