The Left hates when President Trump succeeds. Even if that means his success improves the country’s wellbeing.

And Democrats are throwing a fit over what Trump was just nominated for.

Donald Trump Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize After Helping to Create Israel-Iran Ceasefire Deal

Georgia Republican Rep. Buddy Carter has nominated President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, citing his pivotal role in securing a ceasefire between Israel and Iran. The nomination comes on the heels of a tense 12-day conflict that gripped the Middle East, raising fears of escalation before Trump’s diplomatic intervention brought a fragile calm.

Carter, in a letter to the Nobel Peace Prize Committee, praised Trump’s “extraordinary and historic role” in halting “the armed conflict between Israel and Iran and preventing the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism from obtaining the most lethal weapon on the planet.”

The ceasefire, announced by Trump late Monday afternoon and effective overnight Tuesday, capped a week of intense hostilities sparked by Israel’s preemptive strike on Iran. Israel had claimed Tehran was on the verge of developing a nuclear weapon, prompting a series of rocket exchanges between the two nations.

The conflict saw further escalation when the U.S. conducted airstrikes on three of Iran’s key nuclear facilities over the weekend. Iran retaliated Monday by launching rockets at a U.S. air base in Qatar, though it provided advance notice to U.S. and Qatari officials, resulting in no casualties.

Amid this volatile backdrop, Carter lauded Trump’s ability to broker a swift resolution. “President Trump’s influence was instrumental in forging a swift agreement that many believed to be impossible,” Carter wrote, emphasizing Trump’s “bold, decisive actions” to curb Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

Carter’s letter framed Trump’s leadership as a beacon of hope in a region long defined by conflict and mistrust.

“President Trump demonstrated both [courage and clarity], offering the world a rare glimpse of hope,” he wrote, arguing that Trump’s actions embody “the very ideals that the Nobel Peace Prize seeks to recognize: the pursuit of peace, the prevention of war, and the advancement of international harmony.”

This is not Trump’s first brush with the Nobel Peace Prize. Earlier in 2025, Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., nominated him, citing the “astonishingly effective impact” of his 2024 electoral victory on global peace.

With 338 candidates already in the running for the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize, according to the Nobel Prize website, Trump’s latest nomination adds to his growing list of accolades.

Carter, a Georgia lawmaker now vying for a Senate seat, has been a vocal supporter of Trump, introducing several symbolic bills in his favor.

These include a proposal to rename Greenland “Red, White, and Blueland” following Trump’s expressed interest in acquiring the territory and another to allow Trump to sell a California federal building named after former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Yet, Carter’s focus on Trump’s Middle East diplomacy highlights a more serious dimension of his advocacy.

Despite the ceasefire’s promise, tensions remain high. As of Tuesday morning, Israel accused Iran of violating the agreement, a claim Tehran denies. But according to President Trump, the countries have decided to acknowledge the ceasefire with Israel backing down from potential retaliation.

The fragile peace hangs in the balance, highlighting the challenges of sustaining Trump’s diplomatic breakthrough. Whether this nomination will propel Trump to the Nobel stage remains uncertain, but Carter’s move signals unwavering confidence in the president’s ability to reshape global dynamics.
