Walz has a dark past. But it’s all coming to the surface now.
And a disturbing skeleton from Tim Walz’s closet was revealed in a latest bombshell report.
Minnesota Governor and Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz is under the microscope for advice he reportedly gave to a former high school football player grappling with off-the-field struggles.
According to a recent article in The Ringer, Walz, then a defensive coordinator at Mankato West High School, urged a troubled player to keep playing despite the player’s legal and alcohol-related issues.
The story centers on Dan Clement, who played linebacker for Mankato West in 1998. Clement recalled that what began as casual experimentation with alcohol in high school eventually spiraled into serious trouble.
By the summer before his senior season, Clement had faced multiple arrests for underage drinking.
With suspension looming over his final season, Clement was prepared to step away from the game entirely. Yet, Walz reportedly pushed back, emphasizing that the team “needed him.”
“He knew I was struggling,” Clement shared, describing Walz’s insistence that he stay with the team.
Walz allegedly downplayed Clement’s off-the-field issues, remarking, “I don’t care about that other stuff,” which ultimately persuaded Clement to return for the season’s latter half.
Though Clement’s battles with alcohol continued for years, he now believes that Walz’s support and guidance during those difficult times made a positive difference, even though Walz seemed to ignore the poor life choices Clement was making.
“The caring attention he gave, that positive support can pull you through really dark times in your life,” Clement reflected.
“I’m leaning on you. I’m trusting you here,” Clement reportedly told his coach. “You don’t think partying is a good idea. I’m going to trust you on that.”
“He was right. I was wrong,” Clement said. “When I continued to trust other people who love me, it led my life in this beautiful direction. Just like it did back then.”
Walz’s tenure as a football coach has been a central part of the Harris-Walz campaign’s effort to frame him as a “man’s man.”
But recently, that carefully curated image faced a setback over the weekend when Walz—or someone on his social media team—made an error while discussing football.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Walz praised Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for “running a mean pick 6” during a Madden livestream with the governor, a comment that raised eyebrows due to its inaccuracy.
As football fans pointed out, a “pick 6” occurs when a defender intercepts a pass and scores a touchdown, making it an unplanned play—something you can’t exactly “run.”
Tampon Tim is such a dork.

You’d think a so-called football coach would be aware that you don’t run a pick 6!

This is just another example of Tim Walz being a completely unserious person when it comes to not only politics, but also football, something he claims to be an expert in.
