Former President Trump has been playing nice for too long. Now he’s on the offensive.
But now Donald Trump has admitted to the unthinkable by saying these two simple words.
From the vantage point of Donald Trump, it’s understandable that he would be upset about the we he’s being treated by the political class, specifically the Democrats, who are bent on seeing him behind bars.
You may think that Trump is guilty of some of the charges being brought against him, but the idea that he is guilty of all of the charges being brought against him is simply outrageous.
The indictment involving alleged hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels is maybe the most ridiculous case against a high-profile individual in American history.
So if you put yourself in Trump’s shoes, some of his anger of this nonsense is justified. Which is why he’s now trying to go on the offensive rather than just playing defense forever.
In an interview recently with the radio host and Blaze Media contributor Glenn Beck, Donald Trump said that he will have “no choice” but to seek to imprison those who are choosing to bend the law to go after himself.
Trump was asked specifically whether he regretted not locking up Hillary Clinton, especially since he became famous for saying he would during the general election season in 2016.
Then Glenn Beck asked Trump if he will lock people up this time around, if given the chance to get a second term in the White House.
“You said in 2016, you know, ‘lock her up.’ And then when you became president, you said, ‘We don’t do that in America.’ That’s just not the right thing to do. That’s what they’re doing. Do you regret not locking her up? And if you’re president again, will you lock people up?” Glenn Beck asked of Donald Trump.
To which Donald Trump replied that he would have “no choice” because “they’re doing it to us.”
“Well, I’ll give you an example. Uh, the answer is you have no choice because they’re doing it to us,” Trump said in response to Glenn Beck’s question.
After that, Donald Trump said that he has a “great respect” for the office of the President of the United States and that he doesn’t want to do anything rash or go after anyone unfairly. But now things are different, in his estimation, considering what they are doing to him.
“I always had such great respect for the office of the president and the presidency and but the office of the president. And I never hit Biden as hard as I could have. And then I heard he was trying to indict me and it was him that was doing it,” Trump continued.
Later on in the interview, Trump would add that the Democrats are “sick” and “evil” people who are going to do everything in their power to attack the leading Presidential candidate, which is Donald Trump no doubt.
He also alleged that Joe Biden has been very involved in the indictments that he is facing, despite President Biden saying otherwise. Who is to be believed, we’ll leave up to you.
But there’s no getting around the fact that the optics of the whole situation involving Trump’s indictments doesn’t look right at all. It absolutely appears like he’s being targeted unfairly at just the right time for the Democrats.
That may end up backfiring in the end, though. The American people can apparently see right through all these political games. Polls have demonstrated that Donald Trump’s general support from the public has gotten better since the first indictments were handed down.
Not only that, but if Donald Trump ends up getting a second term in the White House, he may be on a mission for justice that includes “locking up” anyone who abused the justice system to throw him behind bars.
