A recent CBS News/YouGov poll reveals that most Americans approve of how President-elect Donald Trump is managing his transition to the presidency.
Conducted between November 19 and 22, the survey included responses from 2,232 American adults, with 59 percent approving of Trump’s approach to the transition and 41 percent expressing disapproval.

The poll also explored public opinion on several of Trump’s high-profile cabinet picks, yielding a variety of responses.
Forty-four percent of respondents believed Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) as Secretary of State was a “good choice,” with a significant 75 percent of Trump voters agreeing.
Meanwhile, 25 percent of respondents viewed it as “not” a good choice, including 5 percent of Trump voters. An additional 31 percent said they had not heard enough about the decision, a sentiment shared by 19 percent of Trump voters.
Forty-seven percent of respondents supported the pick of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for Health and Human Services (HHS) as a “good choice,” including a strong 80 percent of Trump voters.
However, 34 percent labeled it as “not” a good choice, and 19 percent said they lacked sufficient information. Among Trump voters, only 8 percent opposed the choice, and 12 percent said they had not heard enough.
In regards to Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense, Public opinion was more divided, with 33 percent of respondents calling Hegseth a “good choice” and 28 percent deeming it a poor selection.
Among Trump voters, 64 percent approved, while only 5 percent disagreed. A notable 39 percent of all respondents—and 31 percent of Trump voters—said they needed more information.
Tulsi Gabbard’s nomination as Director of National Intelligence was seen as a “good choice” by 36 percent of respondents and by 71 percent of Trump voters.
On the other hand, 27 percent of respondents, including 5 percent of Trump voters, disagreed with the decision. A significant portion—36 percent overall and 24 percent of Trump voters—felt they hadn’t heard enough about the pick.
While Trump’s transition has garnered significant support, some of his cabinet picks have faced criticism.
Notably, former Rep. Matt Gaetz was originally chosen as attorney general but later withdrew amid an ethics investigation into allegations of s*xual misconduct.
In a statement, Gaetz referred to the probe as a “distraction” for the Trump-Vance transition team. Trump has since nominated former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi to fill the position.
