Trump can’t believe it. This is news that could change everything for him.
And Donald trump receives that left him completely speechless.
Florida’s move to honor President Donald J. Trump took center stage this week as the state Cabinet voted unanimously to hand over prime land in Miami for his presidential library. This decision marks a massive win for preserving the legacy of a leader who fought tooth and nail for American values.
Eric Trump broke the news on X with unbridled enthusiasm, declaring: “I am extremely proud to announce a UNANIMOUS vote by the Florida Cabinet for the conveyance of land for the @realDonaldTrump Presidential Library which will be located in… MIAMI, FLORIDA! It will be the greatest Presidential Library ever built, honoring the greatest President our Nation has ever known. A large thank you to @GovRonDeSantis & @AGJamesUthmeier who have been incredible partners in this endeavor. Consistent with our families DNA, this will be one of the most beautiful buildings ever built, an Icon on the Miami skyline — rest assured it will not look like President Obama ‘prison like structure.’”
The announcement lit up social media and drew immediate praise from key Florida figures. Attorney General James Uthmeier jumped in with a quote-tweet, saying: “Thank you for the great partnership, Eric. We look forward to seeing President Trump’s library in the Free State of Florida!”
Miami Mayor Francis Suarez didn’t hold back either, celebrating the choice of his city as the perfect spot. He stated: “President Trump has reshaped skylines, economies, and history itself — and now his legacy will have a permanent home in the city that embodies American ambition. This is a proud day for Miami, where the Trump Presidential Library will stand as a symbol of what it means to build boldly, lead decisively, and believe that America’s greatest chapters are still being written.”
Adding to the chorus of support, Florida CFO Blaise Ingoglia highlighted the global draw this library will create. He said: “I was proud to vote YES to bring the Donald J. Trump Presidential Library to Florida. People from across the world will be able to learn about President Trump’s legacy of patriotism when visiting Miami, right next to the historic Freedom Tower at @MDCollege.”
Just days before the vote, Uthmeier teased the big reveal in a video and statement that captured the excitement. He explained: “Next week, the Florida Cabinet will vote to dedicate land at Miami Dade College to house the Presidential Library of Donald J. Trump. I’ll be voting yes! Surviving two assassination attempts, securing the border, and rebuilding our nation’s military are just a few stories this great library will tell. Thank you Gov. DeSantis and MDC President Madeline Pumariega for your leadership. It’s been an honor to work on this project with the Trump Library Foundation!”
In his video from Miami’s iconic Freedom Tower, Uthmeier painted a vivid picture of the site’s deep meaning. He called it “our very own Ellis Island of the South,” noting how Cuban families fled communism there in the 1950s.
Uthmeier went on, saying: “This location serves as a symbol of freedom, a beacon of liberty for the rest of the country. Immediately adjacent to the Freedom Tower is the land that the state would like to set aside, land that we hope will one day house the presidential library of President Donald J. Trump. I can think of no better location to tell the story of Donald Trump, a story of strength, one of redemption, one of victory and one of sacrifice for the American people.”
He didn’t stop there, praising Trump’s unbreakable spirit: “It is the greatest political comeback story in history. President Trump endured sham impeachments, endless witch hunts and multiple assassination attempts. Each time he rose stronger, proving that courage, strength, resilience, and faith in the American people will always prevail. Thanks to President Trump, America’s enemies now know that we are back. Florida will be blessed to house the presidential library for one of our very own state residents and to be a part of preserving such meaningful history.”
This triumphant step for Trump’s library stands in sharp contrast to the messes plaguing other recent presidential projects. Joe Biden’s planned setup in Delaware is floundering, with donors dragging their feet and calling the fundraising a nightmare thanks to internal party fights.
Reports show Biden’s pardon of his son Hunter has only made things worse, pushing some Democrats to potentially slam their wallets shut. It’s a clear sign of how weak leadership breeds chaos and donor distrust.
Meanwhile, Barack Obama’s library in Chicago is turning into a taxpayer nightmare. Costs have ballooned from $330 million to at least $850 million, and the foundation has only coughed up a measly $1 million toward a promised $470 million endowment.
That shortfall could leave hardworking Chicagoans on the hook for hundreds of millions in ongoing bills. It’s the kind of elite overreach that drains public coffers while delivering little in return.
Adding insult to injury, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) axed the lease for Obama’s temporary library in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, back in March. Though the move was part of a bigger federal review and the site was already shifting, it highlights the waste in these bloated operations.
Years ago, the Washington Post ran an op-ed by Philip Kennicott in 2021, viciously attacking the idea of a Trump library. It claimed Trump “must never have” one, warning he’d use it to polish his image, and begged Congress and corporations to block any funding or support.
But Trump has flipped the script, raking in serious cash through hard-won legal victories against Big Tech and media giants. Meta forked over $25 million after wrongfully banning his accounts in 2021, with $22 million funneled straight to the library fund.
Trump also earmarked parts of a $16 million settlement from CBS’s 60 Minutes for the project, showing how these wins are building something lasting.
Last week, YouTube settled a lawsuit for $24.5 million, directing $22 million toward Trump’s new White House ballroom while the rest goes to other plaintiffs. These funds prove that justice prevails, turning attacks into ammunition for legacy-building.
In the end, Florida’s unanimous vote and Miami’s embrace show real America stepping up to celebrate a president who puts the people first.
