The Left is starting to rally behind Harris in the 2024 election. But not everyone is on board with her candidacy.
As this former Democratic presidential candidate has delivered an ominous warning about a potential Kamala Harris presidency.
Democrats are excited at the idea that they will no longer have Joe Biden at the top of the ticket come election day.
Instead, they’re pushing for his VP, Kamala Harris, to take the reigns and try to defeat former President Donald Trump this fall.
But one former Democrat has revealed that a Harris presidency would be a terrifying prospect, particularly on the foreign policy front.
Tulsi Gabbard Warns Voters of Kamala Harris’s Potential Presidency
Former Hawaii Representative Tulsi Gabbard has raised concerns about Vice President Kamala Harris assuming the presidential role, labeling Harris as “incredibly dangerous” for the position.
President Joe Biden recently announced his decision to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race, subsequently endorsing Harris as his successor. This endorsement was quickly followed by support from prominent Democratic figures, including former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI).
Gabbard, reflecting on her own presidential campaign experience, stated, “I’m going to sound the same warning now that I have been for years, going all the way back to 2020 when both Kamala and I were running for president on the Democratic ticket. She is unfit and unqualified to be our president and commander-in-chief and would be incredibly dangerous in that position.”
“The prospect of Kamala Harris making decisions about war and peace and where to send my brothers and sisters in uniform into harm’s way is not only terrifying to us, it should be terrifying to every American knowing that we would all pay the price for her dangerous actions and dangerous decisions.”
As a veteran, Gabbard also compared Harris to her earlier description of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, whom she referred to as “the queen of warmongers.” According to Gabbard, Harris’s presidency could escalate global conflicts and edge the world closer to nuclear war.
Earlier this year, Gabbard discussed in an interview the backlash she faced within the Democratic Party when she endorsed Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) over Clinton during the 2016 Democratic presidential primary.
Gabbard suggested it is “not a leap of imagination” to believe Clinton, rather than Biden, is currently steering the United States.
Gabbard concluded her message with a stark call to action: “The choice for us is very clear. If we cherish peace and freedom and if we love our country, we must vote against Kamala Harris in this election on November 5 and vote for Donald Trump.”
The Trump campaign has dismissed concerns about Harris being a significant threat to Trump, with Republican National Committee Co-Chairwoman Lara Trump describing the Democratic Party as being in “complete disarray.”
The campaign also warned that Harris would be “Joe Biden 2.0” with an even worse record.
Vivek Ramaswamy, a former presidential candidate who endorsed Trump in January, warned the Republican Party of underestimating the Democratic “machine” in the 2024 election.
He advised against immediately criticizing Harris, noting her past campaign shortcomings, including her failure to reach the 2020 Iowa caucuses.
