Joe Biden’s base is losing confidence in him. Rightfully so as his poll numbers are not looking good.
And a former Obama official hits Biden where it hurts on CNN.
Van Jones, a Leftist commentator for CNN and former official for the Biden administration, announced a new strategy that President Biden should implement for the 2024 election.
Jones’s advice didn’t particularly include very many nice words as he feels like Biden isn’t doing a good enough job at marketing himself.
“If I were Biden, I would stay hidden,” Jones said on CNN.
“And I’ll tell you why: He doesn’t inspire confidence, and he’s not a great messenger for himself.”
He also detailed that “there’s something wrong with this campaign, where we’re somehow expecting Joe Biden – and frankly, he hid during the last campaign – to start, [to] come out now and be Flash Gordon, and save this – his own campaign.”
“The people who are benefiting from the Biden economy, and they exist, should be empowered to speak.”
Kate Bedingfield, a former White House communications director, took an objection to Jones’ comments.
“I think Biden ran a very disciplined campaign. I think – the sort of ‘Oh, he hid in the basement?’ Well, remember, we were in the midst of a global pandemic. We were in the midst of a once-in-a-generation crisis,” Bedingfield said.
“And frankly, the way Joe Biden handled it was reassuring to people, and was a big part of the reason that he was elected president in 2020.”
Despite being in a pandemic, Donald Trump was still able to hold rallys and make appearances across the country during the 2020 campaign trail.
In reality, Democrats hid Biden in the basement so he would avoid making gaffes which he’s so notorious for.
Jones also added that Republicans “are not afraid of Joe Biden. They’re not afraid.”
“They don’t think that by putting up somebody this damaged, frankly, this deranged with this many deficits is going to hurt them at all – because the polls show over and over again that even with 978 felonies, he’s still neck and neck with Biden.”
Van Jones tries to warn his fellow Democrats that they're putting up an incredibly weak candidate.

Currently, Trump has a 3.8-point edge over Biden in a general election popular vote poll, according to RealClearPolitics averages.
Jones and his pals over at CNN have been wrong about a lot of things.
But one thing they’re right about, is that Trump has a lot of momentum right now and poses a very real threat to Joe Biden.
