Texas Governor Greg Abbott is tired of Joe Biden’s failures. He’s taking matters into his own hands.
And now Greg Abbott’s sent the military an order that has Joe Biden furious as ever.
Prior to the termination of the Title 42 public health order, which helped prevent the entry of migrants into the United States, Texas Governor Greg Abbott on Monday announced the creation of a new Texas Tactical Border Force.
In response to “Joe Biden’s reckless border policies,” the Texas National Guard is packing C-130s and Black Hawk helicopters to send highly specialized National Guard members to “hotspots along the border to intercept, to repel and to turn back migrants who are trying to enter Texas illegally,” Abbott said at a news conference held from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
The Texas National Guard stated in a statement that it activated 545 additional military members on Monday to “reinforce the border mission in anticipation of the end of Title 42 immigration restrictions.”
Texas National Guard Adjunct Gen. Thomas Suelzer, Texas Border Czar Mike Banks, and Texas Department of Public Safety Director Steve McCraw all joined Abbott in making the public statement.
“President [Joe] Biden is laying down a welcome mat to people across the entire world saying that the United States border is wide open, and it will lead to an incredible amount of people coming across the border illegally. President Biden’s open border policies is going to cause a catastrophic disaster in the United States,” Abbott declared.
The Texas Tactical Border Force is intended to support Operation Lone Star, which according to Abbott has turned away 37,000 individuals who had already crossed the border illegally, detained about 27,000 dangerous criminals, including “cartel gang members” who are sought for crimes like homicide, and seized “enough fentanyl that would have been enough to kill every man, woman, and child in the United States.”
According to the Washington Times, Texas has been severely impacted by the spike in border crossings and anticipates suffering the most when the power to expel people under Title 42 expires.
According to the Department of Homeland Security, up to 13,000 migrants per day, or about twice the rate of March, are expected to enter the nation illegally, breaking previous records.
Greg Abbott is one of the leading Republican Governors drawing a line in the sand against the Joe Biden administration’s garbage policies.
The reality is that you can’t spew the rhetoric that Joe Biden and the Democrats have been spewing without expecting illegal immigrants to feel more welcome than ever before.
The Democrats are saying that “no one is illegal” and that the United States has a “humantiarian” responsibility to take care of anyone who comes to the southern border, no matter what.
But what about the countries from which the illegal immigrants come from?
The National Guard force that Greg Abbott has announced is saying enough is enough as it comes to the southern border crisis.
The Joe Biden administration needs to address this problem and protect Americans first, or Republican Governors in the south will take matters into their own hands and do it themselves.
