Jeffries has gone mad. He’s spouting all sorts of nonsense these days.
And Hakeem Jeffries made an absurd claim about this government agency.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries took to CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday to launch yet another baseless attack on President Trump’s efforts to secure America’s airports and borders.
When confronted by host Dana Bash about the White House announcement regarding ICE agents being deployed at airports starting tomorrow, Jeffries resorted to fearmongering that exposed the Democrats’ complete surrender on immigration enforcement.
He kicked things off by declaring, “Well, good morning. Great to be with you. There are three things that have been true since Donald Trump and Republicans came back into power last January. Life is more expensive. Life is more chaotic, and life is more extreme.”
According to Jeffries, the American people cannot handle the addition of ICE presence at airports because these agents might somehow turn violent against citizens.
In his own words, Jeffries warned that the last thing Americans need “are for untrained ICE agents to be deployed at airports all across the country, potentially to brutalize or in some instances, k*ll them.”
This outrageous claim ignores the heroic work ICE agents perform daily to remove dangerous criminals and protect our communities from the failures of past open-border madness.
Jeffries pressed on, claiming, “We’ve already seen how Ice conducts itself. These are untrained individuals when it comes to doing the current job that they have. For the most part, let alone deploying them in close exposure and highly sensitive situations at airports across the country.”
Yet everyday Americans understand that ICE is on the front lines against cartels, traffickers, and illegal entrants who threaten our safety and sovereignty.
Rather than backing the tools needed for real security, Jeffries and the Democrats continue to push narratives that tie the hands of law enforcement while criminals roam free.
He then shifted blame, stating, “It’s unfortunate that Republicans have decided that they would rather force TSA agents to work without pay inconveniencing millions of Americans all across the country, and now potentially expose them to untrained ICE agents and create chaos at airports throughout the land, rather than get ICE agents under control.”
The truth is that any inconvenience at airports today pales in comparison to the national security nightmare created by years of Democrat policies that flooded our country with millions of unvetted migrants.
President Trump is finally delivering on promises to put American citizens first by ensuring airports are not soft targets for those who wish us harm.
Jeffries concluded with a demand that rings hollow to patriots everywhere: “Our basic premise and value proposition from the very beginning has been simple. ICE should conduct itself like every other law enforcement agency in the country.”
What Jeffries really means is that ICE should be neutered and ineffective, just like the weak approaches that led to record crime and chaos under previous leadership.
The American people have had enough of this elite gamesmanship, and they stand firmly behind Trump’s plan to empower ICE and restore order at our airports and beyond.
