Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign has just begun. But it may be nearing its final stages already.
As Harris was hit with a massive 2024 election curveball that could end her bid for the White House.
Vice President Kamala Harris is the presumptive Democrat nominee for president after Joe Biden announced his intentions to not run for reelection this year.
And while Leftists are in a honeymoon stage with Harris as the nominee, it still doesn’t change the fact that she has some ground to cover in trying to catch former President Donald Trump in the poll.
Kamala Harris has yet to pick a running mate, but she hopes that her pick will give her a boost in the polls and maybe even help her win a crucial swing state.
Unfortunately for her, not every Leftist is eager to join her as her vice president.

Governor Roy Cooper Withdraws from Consideration as Kamala Harris’s Running Mate
North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper (D) has reportedly removed himself from the list of potential vice-presidential candidates for Kamala Harris’s 2024 presidential campaign.
According to sources familiar with the situation who spoke with the New York Times, Cooper, once considered a leading contender, has decided not to pursue the opportunity to run alongside Harris.
This decision follows a similar announcement from Admiral William H. McRaven, who also stated that he had “removed” his name from consideration as a potential vice-presidential pick.
Additionally, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D) confirmed in an interview with CBS News that she is not participating in the process of selecting Harris’s running mate.
When reached for comment, spokespeople for both Harris’s campaign and Governor Cooper declined to provide any further details.
Harris and Cooper share a history, having both served as attorneys general in their respective states, California and North Carolina.
Julie Chavez Rodriguez, Harris’s campaign manager, affirmed to CBS News that the vice president is actively engaged in the process of choosing her running mate for the upcoming election.
“The vice president has begun a process that is probably one of the most important processes and decisions that she will make during her time as a candidate for president,” Rodriguez stated.
Harris is expected to announce her choice for vice president by August 7. Among those still being considered are Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro (D), Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D), Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear (D), U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, and Arizona Senator Mark Kelly (D).
As the campaign progresses, Harris’s favorability rating stands slightly lower than President Joe Biden’s, according to the RealClearPolitics polling average.
Furthermore, former President Donald Trump has shown a lead over Harris in 13 national polls conducted throughout July.
