Host of The View just said this disgusting thing about Trump supporters

The ladies of The View despise Donald Trump and conservatives. They want nothing to do with them.

And this host of The View just said this disgusting thing about Trump supporters.

Whoopi Goldberg Channels Hillary Clinton’s ‘Deplorables’ Mindset, Exacerbating Political Divides

During a recent episode of The View, Whoopi Goldberg echoed the rhetoric of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s infamous “basket of deplorables” remark, making it clear that she has no interest in engaging with supporters of President Donald Trump.

Goldberg, who has long refused to say Trump’s name aloud on the show—replacing it with phrases like “the man in the White House” or “you know who”—demonstrated that her dislike (putting it mildly) of Trump extends beyond himself and to the millions of Americans who voted for him.

The discussion began when cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin pointed out that Trump had spent his time between terms refining his political strategy, a move that has worked out well in his first month back in the White House.

“One of the things he is excellent at, and the media takes the bait often, is he writes himself into every story,” Griffin noted. “He didn’t just do the Super Bowl interview, he attended the Super Bowl … he is working in a 21st-century media environment that is outpacing traditional media but also the opposition. I think Dems are kind of playing on a 1990s playbook of, like, if I go speak on the Senate floor, if I go on ‘Meet the Press,’ it’s going to stop him.”

Ana Navarro, another cohost, lamented the lack of what she considered effective resistance against Trump, insisting that Democrats were struggling to connect with voters. “We all need to come together and show them that we’re mad as hell,” she declared.

Griffin then pointed out that if Democrats wanted to win, they would need to engage with Trump voters rather than dismiss them outright. Goldberg, however, strongly disagreed.

“I think this is beyond Democrats and Republicans,” Goldberg said. “It’s hard to talk to people who support people who think you don’t matter in the country … When you support THAT person … when we find the stuff that we agree on, that’s what we do. When we find the stuff that is disagreeable to the majority, now, I didn’t find anything of interest for me in Project 2025. I didn’t feel like this is geared to us as a nation, I felt it was geared to very specific folks and that bothered the poo out of me.”

How the Leftist Media’s Divisiveness Hurts the Democratic Party

Goldberg’s remarks points to a growing problem within the Democratic Party — its inability to connect with Trump supporters and moderates who may be open to alternative policies but feel alienated by the rhetoric coming from mainstream media figures.

By openly dismissing nearly half the electorate, Democrats risk pushing even more voters toward Trump, solidifying his base rather than weakening it.

This kind of rhetoric mirrors the miscalculation made by Hillary Clinton in 2016 when she labeled Trump supporters a “basket of deplorables.”

Rather than persuading voters, her statement reinforced the perception that the Democratic Party viewed millions of Americans as irredeemable. That moment, widely seen as a turning point, played a role in her ultimate defeat.

Similarly, when media figures like Goldberg dismiss Trump voters outright, they make it more difficult for Democratic candidates to appeal to the working-class and middle-American voters who have shifted toward Trump in recent years. Instead of building bridges, they create deeper divides that will ultimately lead to more election defeats for their party.

If Democrats want to succeed, they must take a different approach—one that acknowledges voters’ concerns, rather than alienating them with dismissive rhetoric. But comments like Goldberg’s prove that they won’t be taking a different approach anytime soon.

That’s obviously bad news for the Democrat Party and great news for Republicans who are looking to build more and more momentum off their success in the 2024 elections.
