The Vice President isn’t known for her political prowess. In fact, she’s considered one of the worst politicians ever.
And Kamala Harris had a jaw-dropping response to this damaging report.
The Democrat party is in trouble.
Their ability to reach black and hispanic voters has seen a decline in recent years.
Most notably, black voters showed up in smaller numbers for Democrats in the 2022 midterms.
“In recent years, Democrats have seen support among minority groups, including black Americans, decline,” reports the Washington Examiner.
“Between 2020 and 2023, President Joe Biden’s share of non-white voters who planned to vote for him dropped from over 70% to 53%, per data from various New York Times/Siena College national polls.”
Vice President Harris seems hardly worried at these alarming stats.
When asked about lower black turnout in the Democrat party, Harris told Astead W. Herndon of the New York Times, “Why don’t you talk to me after 2024?”
The arrogance displayed by the Vice President shows the disconnect between the Biden administration and it’s base.
Herndon also noted that “Harris launched into a recitation of talking points,” when further discussing the topic.
“Has there been enough substance that the administration has put on its inequality agenda? Has that promise made to black communities been kept?” Herndon asked the VP.
“By this point in the interview, the window that was slightly open when Harris sat down felt as though it had been firmly shut,” he continued.
It seemed as though Kamala Harris wasn’t too pleased at Herndon’s constant questioning regarding low turnout from black voters.
“Over the weeks that followed, the vice president’s aides would repeatedly postpone the second interview that had been agreed to for this article,” Herndon stated.
Despite Harris’ claims that she and the President aren’t worried about the black and hispanic vote, the Biden campaign has used part of their $25 million in advertisement funds to post ads in black and hispanic areas.
These areas are mostly located in swing states as well, proving that the President’s campaign is indeed concerned they won’t receive the turnout needed to boost him to a second term.
Perhaps Vice President Harris should turn down the arrogance on her end.
Her attitude will likely only turn more voters off from her poor ability to assist in leading the country.
