And this Leftist Governor unleashed a radical scheme to try and destroy Donald Trump’s presidency.
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker (D) has announced plans to champion radical gender transition procedures in the state, using Transgender Awareness Week (November 12-19) as his platform, according to Fox News. His statements and actions come as former President Donald Trump saw significant gains in Illinois during the recent election.
“This Transgender Awareness Week, I want you to know that I see you and have your back as governor,” Pritzker posted on X. “Illinois has enshrined protections for gender-affirming care to meet this moment — and because of that, you will have a home here always.”

The billionaire governor has made transgender issues a cornerstone of his administration. A notable family connection further highlights his advocacy: Pritzker’s cousin, retired Illinois National Guard lieutenant colonel James Nicholas Pritzker, now identifies as transgender under the name “Jennifer” and leads a progressive organization funding pro-transgender and gender-related initiatives.
Since taking office, Pritzker has directed sweeping changes to state policies to support gender ideology. In 2021, he expanded the Illinois Human Rights Act to provide protections for “transgender, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming students.”
According to a statement at the time, Pritzker said the move was aimed at ensuring every student had a “safe, validating learning environment” where they could express their true selves.
Illinois now allows students to use bathrooms aligning with their gender identity without requiring medical proof and mandates that schools permit transgender athletes to compete in sports matching their identified gender. Additionally, Medicaid in Illinois funds gender transition procedures for individuals under 21.
Despite these progressive policies, Pritzker’s approach may not reflect the broader sentiment of Illinois voters.
While Donald Trump lost the state overall, his performance improved significantly compared to past elections.
In 2024, Trump narrowed the margin of defeat to 53.4 percent versus 45 percent against Vice President Kamala Harris, compared to his larger losses in 2020 and 2016.
Trump also saw a surprising surge in Chicago, traditionally a Democratic stronghold. In 2016, he garnered just 12.4 percent of the city’s vote.
That figure rose to 15.6 percent in 2020 and leaped to 22.1 percent in 2024, signaling growing support in urban areas previously resistant to his platform.
Polling data further challenges Pritzker’s stance. In October, a Rasmussen Reports survey discovered that 60 percent of Americans oppose the transgender agenda.
A similar survey by Center Square revealed that 59 percent of respondents reject medical procedures or treatments for minors related to gender transition.
Moreover, voters have consistently opposed transgender athletes competing in women’s sports and view the issue of transgenderism as a political distraction.
Yet radical Leftists like JB Pritzker continue to push these insane transgender ideology.
If they keep it up, they’re looking at only harming their chances at victory in crucial upcoming elections in 2026 and 2028.
