Simply put, AOC is a radical Leftist. Every action she takes further proves that.
And Ocasio-Cortez was caught red-handed in hypocrisy for this unthinkable scheme.
New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the self-proclaimed defender of the little guy against the fat cats, seems to have indulged in some high-end living while on her “Fighting Oligarchy” tour with socialist icon Bernie Sanders. Campaign records paint a picture of lavish hotel stays that clash with her speeches against the elite.
The tour kicked off earlier this year, aiming to rally left-wing supporters against the Trump era. But behind the scenes, AOC’s team dropped serious cash on upscale accommodations, starting with a whopping $3,508.92 at the Vdara Hotel & Spa in Las Vegas back in March.
This isn’t your average roadside motel—Vdara offers a top-tier spa and luxurious penthouses that scream indulgence. Room rates there can soar close to $1,000 a night, depending on when you book.
Details remain murky on exactly what perks AOC and her crew enjoyed during their stay, how long it lasted, or how many people contributed to that eye-popping tab. The Washington Examiner first spotlighted this spending, raising questions about the consistency of her message.
Teaming up with Sanders, a well-off senator from Vermont, Ocasio-Cortez hit the road to fire up progressives nationwide. Their stops focused on slamming the ultra-rich and pushing for change from the ground up.
One key event happened on March 20 in Northern Las Vegas, where AOC joined Sanders and Nevada Democrat Steven Horsford for a town hall. There, she blasted the wealthy for their unchecked ambition.
“The only division that is truly hurting our country the most is the endless greed by those at the very, very top at the cost of everyone else,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
“That is why it has always been up to us, the working class of America. Our power comes from remaining focused together and building a movement where there is a place for everyone.”
Just a day before that rally, an exclusive photo published by the New York Post caught AOC lounging in a spacious first-class seat on her flight from New York to Vegas. As a vocal advocate for green policies, this choice of premium air travel adds another layer to the story.
The spending spree didn’t stop in Sin City. In April, her campaign forked over $3,445.59 for rooms at the Asher Adams hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah—a spot known for its breathtaking mountain vistas and upscale vibe.
This payout came right after an April 13 rally in the city alongside Sanders, where AOC called out lawmakers for cashing in on insider stock deals. Her words targeted corruption in high places, yet the hotel bill tells a different tale.
Then, in May, another $58.54 hit the books for Asher Adams, though the purpose stays unclear. It looks like a follow-up expense that keeps the luxury theme going.
On the same day as that smaller charge, her team reported dropping $3,165.76 at the Leo Kent Hotel in Tucson, Arizona. This tied back to a tour stop with Sanders about a month earlier, where they pushed their anti-oligarchy agenda.
Interestingly, Sanders’ own campaign records show payments to some of these same hotels around the same periods, but his tabs were much lighter. For instance, his group paid $624.28 at the Leo Kent on April 10.
At Vdara, Sanders’ camp made three payments of $487.54 each on March 24—far below AOC’s single massive outlay. It suggests her operation went for the pricier options while his kept things more modest.
