The mainstream media tried to catch Trump in a tie-up. He played them like a fiddle.
Because President Trump just stared down the barrel of the cameras to hit the media with two-word bombshell.
Trump Tears Into CNN, MSNBC as ‘Gutless Losers’ Over Iran Bombing Doubts
From Washington, D.C. — President Donald Trump unleashed a fiery critique of CNN and MSNBC on Tuesday, branding them “gutless losers” and “scum” for questioning the success of U.S. military strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities. Speaking to reporters on the White House south lawn, Trump defended the B-2 pilots who carried out the mission, accusing the networks of undermining their heroic efforts.
“I think it’s been completely demolished. I think that the reason we’re here is because those pilots, those B-2 pilots, did an unbelievable job,” Trump said while being aired by CNN. “And the fake news, CNN in particular, they’re trying to say ‘well, I agree that it was destroyed but maybe not that destroyed.’
You know what they’re doing? They’re hurting great pilots who put their lives on the line. CNN is scum, and so is MSDNC. And frankly, the networks aren’t much better. It’s all fake news, but they should not have done that … The B-2 pilots did their job, they did it better than anybody could have ever imagined. They hit late in the evening, it was dark with no moon, and they hit that target with every one of those things.”
The president’s remarks came in response to reports from CNN and MSNBC that cast doubt on whether the B-2 bombers “completely and totally obliterated” three nuclear sites near Tehran. CNN cited Jeffrey Lewis, a weapons expert at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, who described the strikes as causing only “restricted” damage due to the absence of “bunker-buster” bombs. Lewis called the attack “an incomplete strike,” while CNN’s article noted that the survival of the Isfahan facility raised questions about whether Trump’s goal of halting Iran’s nuclear threat was achieved.
CNN host Abby Phillip echoed this skepticism on Monday’s “News Night,” suggesting it was “too early” to confirm the facilities were fully destroyed. MSNBC, meanwhile, quoted General Dan Caine, who said it was “way too early” for a “meaningful assessment” of the damage, further challenging the administration’s claims.
Trump didn’t hold back, demanding apologies from both networks. “When I see CNN, all night long they’re trying to say ‘well, maybe it wasn’t really as demolished as we thought’ … I will say, I think CNN ought to apologize to the pilots of the B-2’s, I think that MSDNC ought to apologize. I think these guys, these networks and these cable networks are real losers. You really are, you’re real losers,” he continued.
The strikes, which Trump announced as a “very successful attack” on Saturday, targeted Iran’s nuclear infrastructure in a bid to curb what the administration calls the “world’s No. 1 state sponsor of terror.” The president warned Iran of “far greater” consequences if it failed to pursue peace. Even critics within the Republican Party, including John Bolton, Bill Kristol, and former Rep. Adam Kinzinger, lauded Trump’s decisive action.
Iran retaliated with missile strikes on U.S. bases in Iraq and Qatar, which it described as “powerful and destructive.” A ceasefire between Iran and Israel was reached on Monday, but Trump expressed frustration the next day when the agreement collapsed. “We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard, that they don’t know what the f*ck they are doing,” he said.
The administration remains steadfast in its assertion that the B-2 strikes dealt a significant blow to Iran’s nuclear ambitions, dismissing media skepticism as an affront to the military’s valor.
As of now, the ceasefire between the United States and Iran as well as between Israel and Iran is holding. Iranian officials said that they will be respecting the ceasefire as long as Israel does. Tuesday afternoon, Israel officials noted they intended to maintain the peace as well. Following the ceasefire, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian shared with United States officials that they are looking forward to “resolving” issues they have with the West and its many allies.
The verdict is in & the GOP/MAGA base is with Trump on the airstrikes on Iran. Overwhelming approval (76% on average).
