Vice President Kamala Harris found herself under fire from Republicans after it was revealed that Air Force Two circled the airport for an additional 15 minutes, allowing her to watch her husband, Doug Emhoff, deliver a speech.

Emhoff, a prominent speaker on the second night of the Democratic National Convention (DNC), took the stage just before former First Lady Michelle Obama and former President Barack Obama.

At the time, Harris was returning from a campaign event in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and CNN reported that her plane delayed landing to ensure she could view Emhoff’s speech without interruption.

Republican critics were quick to pounce, accusing Harris of hypocrisy, particularly in light of her firm stance on climate change.

“REMINDER: This fuel wasting comes as Harris seeks to ban fracking, push EV mandates on Americans, and restrict fossil fuel usage,” Conservative War Machine said in a post on X.

“Typical elitist Democrat — never practicing what they preach!” the Trump War Room account added.

“Democrats are HYPOCRITES. What happened to the whole ‘climate change’ thing?” influencer Nick Sortor chimed in.

Harris’s rise as the Democrats’ 2024 presidential candidate has energized environmental advocates, many of whom see her as a key ally in advancing the fight against climate change.

“It’s night and day,” said Stevie O’Hanlon, a spokesperson for the youth-led environmentalist group, Sunrise Movement, in an interview with NPR.

“I think it’s clear to me, talking to young people around the country, that there’s a really big opportunity to totally change the game with the youth vote this November.”

As Harris faces mounting criticism from Republicans, she continues to be a central figure for Leftists hoping to accelerate climate action.

Yet her recent hypocritical behavior regarding her decision to burn jet fuel should likely enrage her supporters who view the climate as a key issue.

But instead, these supporters will likely turn a blind eye to Kamala Harris’ hypocrisy since she’s a Democrat.

It’s a typical “rules for thee but not for me” mindset that has infiltrated the minds of Leftists across the country.
