Sean Hannity announces sorrowful goodbye

Hannity has been a staple of Fox News. But now it’s time for his departure.

And Sean Hannity announces a sorrowful goodbye.

Fox News has been grateful to have Sean Hannity as one of their hosts.

He hosts the television program, “Hannity,” which has a primetime slot on the Fox News Channel. The program brings in a large amount of conservative viewers each night.

But now Hannity has announced his departure.

While hosting his radio show, “The Sean Hannity Show” on Tuesday, Hannity announced he was leaving the state of New York and that he was “broadcasting now from my new home in the free state of Florida.”

“If anybody is listening to this program for any length of time, been threatening now to do this for quite a while, but we are now beginning our first broadcast of my new home, and that is in the free state of Florida,” Hannity said.

“I am out. I am done. I’m finished. New York, New York, goodbye. Florida, Florida, if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere. But it’s great to be here.”

The move by Hannity is another example of someone leaving a blue state to move to a prosperous red state like Florida.

Thousands of people over the past few years have moved to red states like Florida or Texas from dark blue states like New York and California.

Hannity explained how his values are shared by political leaders in the Sunshine State, as opposed to New York where leaders boast their radical Leftist ideologies.

“And finally, for the first time that I can think of in my adult life, I actually have representatives in the state that I’m living in that share my values. I have a governor by the name of Ron DeSantis and Senator Marco Rubio and Senator Rick Scott. So I’m feeling a lot better about it,” the conservative commentator added.

A large reason why people have made the exodus from blue states is because of lower crime and taxes that exists in red states.

Hannity explained that as part of his reasoning as well as the reasoning of others to move from a state like New York, saying, “And I’m not going to go through the whys, the how comes, because it’s obvious this migration out of the blue states with high taxes, burdensome regulation, high crime, horrible school districts is real.”

“And if anything, I’m probably late and behind the curve and many others have made the move beforehand.”

In July of 2023, Florida increased it’s population size by 1.6%.

At the same time, New York lost about 102,000 people who decided to move away from the state. This is the largest decrease in gross population in America.

Sean Hannity, like millions of others, understands that life is better in red states.

Maybe one day Democrats will realize that their harmful policies are why so many people migrate out of blue states. But don’t hold your breath on that ever happening.
