Trump has already avoided being assassinated twice. But that hasn’t stopped the death threats from coming his way.
And a shocking arrest was made after a dangerous suspect threatens Donald Trump’s life.
Woman Faces Federal Charges for Threatening President Trump
A 50-year-old woman, Nathalie Rose Jones, was smacked with federal charges in Washington, DC, on Monday, accused of making violent threats against President Trump through social media and in direct statements to authorities. The case, which has drawn significant attention, showcases the rapid response of law enforcement to protect the nation’s leader.
A Trail of Alarming Social Media Posts
Jones, a resident of Lafayette, Indiana, allegedly used Facebook and Instagram to broadcast her intent to harm the president.
On August 6, she posted a chilling message aimed at the FBI, declaring, “I am willing to sacrificially k*ll this POTUS by disemboweling him and cutting out his trachea with Liz Cheney and all The Affirmation present.” The graphic threat immediately caught the attention of federal authorities.
On August 14, Jones intensified her rhetoric, addressing Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in another post: “please arrange the arrest and removal ceremony of POTUS Trump as a terrorist on the American People from 10-2pm at the White House on Saturday, August 16th, 2025.”
The Secret Service, already monitoring her online activity since August 2, moved quickly to address the escalating situation.
Confronting the Threats Head-On
On August 15, Jones voluntarily met with Secret Service agents for an interview. During this meeting, she doubled down on her intentions, stating she would “carry out her mission of k*lling” the president at “the compound” using a “bladed object.”
She claimed her actions were driven by a desire to “avenge all the lives lost during the Covid-19 pandemic,” while also calling Trump a “terrorist” and a “n*zi.”
Arrest After White House Protest
The following day, August 16, Jones was arrested after protesting near the White House. In a subsequent interview with the Secret Service, she admitted to making the threats but insisted she had no “present desire to harm” the president, per the DC US Attorney’s Office.
This conflicting statement did little to lessen the severity of her earlier declarations.
DC US Attorney Jeanine Pirro condemned the threats in a powerful statement, saying, “Threatening the life of the President is one of the most serious crimes and one that will be met with swift and unwavering prosecution.”
She added, “Make no mistake — justice will be served.” Jones now faces charges in the US District Court for Washington, DC, including threatening to k*ll, kidnap, or inflict bodily harm on the President and transmitting threats across state lines.
Jones’s journey from New York to Washington, DC, with the apparent goal of seeing Trump “eliminated,” emphasizes the vigilance of federal authorities in addressing potential dangers.
As the case moves forward, it serves as an important reminder of the consequences of targeting the nation’s highest office with violent intent.
