Trump’s supporters are ready for the former president to pick a running mate. But they may have to wait a little longer.
And this politician just shot down Donald Trump’s VP request.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an independent presidential candidate, has announced that he will not be former President Donald Trump’s 2024 running mate.
Kennedy announced that the Trump team reached out to him about a potential VP run with the former president.
“I would not take that job,” Kennedy said while interviewing with NewsNation.
“I’m flattered that President Trump would offer to me, but it’s not something that I’m interested in.”
“People from the team have reached out to me.”

Chris LaCivita, a senior adviser for Donald Trump, took to X to debunk the fact that the Trump team reached out to Kennedy.
“This is 100% FAKE NEWS – NO ONE from the Trump Campaign ever approached RFK jr (or ever will) – one of the most LIBERAL and radical environmentalists in the country,” LaCivita’s X post said.
“For all the fake news- update your stories.”

Trump has been on record saying that he is in “no rush,” to reveal who is vice presidential pick.
“Well, it’s never really had that much of an effect on an election, which is an amazing thing,” Trump said while speaking with Fox News’ Bret Baier.
“I may or may not release something over the next couple of months. There’s no rush to that. It won’t have any impact at all.”
“The person that I think I like is a very good person, pretty standard. I think people won’t be that surprised, but I would say there’s probably 25% chance it would be that person.”
It’s hard to believe Robert F. Kennedy Jr., would be among Trump’s choices for a running mate.
As LaCivita said, he is incredibly liberal and would not fit well at all on a Trump ticket.
Thank goodness that idea has been shut down for good.
