The radical Left is purely unhinged at this point. They are coming after the GOP by storm.
And a top Republican and a potential Trump VP pick is hysteria after Leftists threatened to kick them out of office.
Governor Kristi Noem (R-SD) has no doubt had a rough few weeks.
An excerpt from her book, “No Going Back: The Truth on What’s Wrong with Politics and How We Move America Forward,” recently came out which detailed how Noem shot and k*lled her 14-month-old puppy, Cricket, for being too aggressive.
The media outcry as a result of Noem’s actions towards the dog was fierce.
Politicians on both sides of the aisle criticized the governor for k*lling the dog. She was even considered to be a top candidate to become former President Donald Trump’s next running mate, but that may be more of a dream than a reality at this point.
Noem, however, defended her actions involving the dog and said that it was a tough decision but it had to be done.
“Tough decisions like this happen all the time on a farm,” Gov. Noem said.
And now, there’s a petition by the Leftist group MoveOn that seeks to remove Noem as governor.
“Animal abusers should not be in office! Tell Noem to step down as governor immediately! … This most recent stunt confirms what we already know–Noem isn’t fit to be in office,” the petition says.
“There is no excuse for what Noem did to Cricket. She may not think her tough-on-crime approach should apply to her own misconduct, but, together, we can hold her responsible.”
The petition has 23,000 signatures as of late last week.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), came out with a Halloween costume called “Cricket’s Revenge,” which was an attempt to mock Noem.
Noem’s office was reached out to for a comment by the Washington Examiner regarding the petition.
She also had to cancel a fundraising event in Colorado last week because of threats she received for k*lling cricket.
This all comes at a time when Donald Trump is likely in the midst of determining his pick for his vice president.
During this election cycle he’s complimented Noem and thought of her as a good choice as a potential running mate.
But according to what sources close to Trump told the New York Post, Gov. Noem likely has “no shot” at becoming the former president’s VP now.
The headache from this controversial excerpt from her book is probably too much for the Trump campaign to endure in a crucial presidential election race.
But Kristi Noem can’t focus on that right now. She’ll have to find a way to ward off any attacks to remove her from office via angry petitions.
