The Left is working hard to disqualify Donald Trump from running for president. They’re using every trick in the book.
And Trump fears for the worst as a new state ballot ruling drops.
Colorado made all the top headlines late last year after its Supreme Court used the insurrection clause of the 14th Amendment to remove former President Trump from the state’s ballot.
More Leftist states immediately tried to do the same, with Maine also making a similar ruling.
And now another blue state has come forward with how they are going to rule on Trump’s eligibility for the primary ballot.
Washington state Judge Mary Sue Wilson of the Thurston County Superior Court, has shut down a request from numerous voters who say that the former president should not be permitted to appear on the ballot because of his alleged participation in the January 6, 2021 riots at the U.S. Capitol.
Washington’s Secretary of State Steve Hobbs (D) made the candidate list (which included Trump) for the ballot and “acted consistent with his duties,” according to Judge Wilson.
“The court determines that the secretary of state acted consistent with his duties,” Wilson said in her ruling.
“An order directing the secretary of state to take different action, an order from this court, is simply not supported by the statutes and not supported by the affidavit of the electors.”
“I am grateful that Judge Wilson ruled in such a timely and well-considered fashion, and that she recognized that I and my staff have been working in full compliance with state law governing the Presidential Primary,” Hobbs said in a statement about Wilson’s ruling.
“We will continue working with our partners in county elections offices to get all the necessary materials for this election to every Washington voter.”
The list of Republican candidates who’s names were submitted by the GOP to the state, are: former President Trump, Governor Ron DeSantis (FL), former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, and Vivek Ramaswamy.
Ramaswamy and Christie of course have dropped out of the race as of recent.
Colorado and Maine are now the only two states that have been able to remove the former president, despite other Democrat states making their efforts as well.
Trump and his team have sought an appeal of the decisions from Maine and Colorado.
The decision from Colorado is being appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court which will hear the case.
The appeal to Maine’s superior court will not make a decision until the Supreme Court makes theirs.
Trump and his campaign are hoping to hear good news from that decision that will allow him to return to the ballot in those states.
It will also help thwart any other attempts from blue states to remove his name.
