The political rivals are still going at it even after their 2016 matchup. But per usual, Donald Trump has the upper hand.
And Trump’s response to Hillary Clinton’s latest attack has heads spinning.
In a heated exchange, Donald Trump’s campaign fired back at Hillary Clinton on Thursday after the former Democratic presidential candidate drew a controversial comparison between Trump’s upcoming Madison Square Garden rally and a notorious Nazi event held at the same location 85 years ago.
The former New York senator and secretary of state made the statement shortly after an interview with CNN host Kaitlan Collins, during which she labeled Trump, now 78, as a “fascist.”
“Sadly, here in America, the term fits,” Clinton asserted. “And you know, one other thing that you’ll see next week, Kaitlin, is Trump actually reenacting the Madison Square Garden rally in 1939.”
Clinton continued, referencing her own writing on the topic: “I write about this in my book. President Franklin Roosevelt was appalled that neo-Nazis, fascists in America, were lining up to essentially pledge their support for the kind of government that they were seeing in Germany.”
“So, I don’t think we can ignore it,” she added, making clear her belief in the relevance of the historical parallel.

The Trump campaign responded sharply. National Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt condemned Clinton’s comments, calling them “disgusting” and questioning her memory.
“Hillary Clinton is so messed up from her raging 8-year-long case of anti-Trump derangement syndrome that she forgot SHE did an event at Madison Square Garden when she was a Senator, and her husband Bill accepted the Democrat nomination there,” Leavitt remarked in a statement.
Beyond questioning Clinton’s motives, Leavitt pointed to what she called hypocrisy.
“Putting aside her hypocrisy, Hillary’s rhetoric about half of the country is disgusting,” Leavitt said.
Others in Trump’s camp joined the pushback. Kaelan Dorr, a former Trump administration official, argued that Clinton’s remarks not only unfairly demonize Trump supporters but also disrespect survivors of Hitler’s regime.
“This is deeply disturbing rhetoric that is not only irresponsible to use against someone who’s survived multiple assassination attempts … It demonizes half of the country,” Dorr posted on X.
He continued, “And it belittles the pain of actual holocaust survivors. Kamala will lose. Just like this nasty woman.”

The upcoming rally, Trump’s first at Madison Square Garden, is expected to draw a significant crowd as he prepares for the final stretch of his campaign.
Set for Sunday—just nine days before Election Day—the event will be hosted at the historic New York venue, which previously hosted the Democratic National Convention in 1924, 1976, 1980, and 1992, as well as the Republican National Convention in 2004.
