The GOP has had it with the Biden administration. They want to do everything in their power to stop its radical agenda.
And Vice President Harris was sent into a fit of rage after this Republican plan was revealed.
Republicans in the U.S. House are looking at ways to defund offices within the Biden administration.
GOP lawmakers are adding amendments in a government funding bill that will be discussed later in the week.
The Financial Services and General Government fiscal year 2024 appropriations bill is the Republicans’ chance at stopping some of Biden’s Leftist agenda.
Specifically, Rep. Mike Collins (R-GA) has put forth an amendment to the bill that will stop some funds from being delivered to Vice President Kamala Harris’ office.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green (R-GA) even proposed limiting Internal Revenue Service Commissioner Daniel Werfel’s salary to just a single dollar.
Other amendments were formed that would cut up funding to the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention.
Congressman Greg Steube (R-FL) proposed cutting costs to the Biden admin’s Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (ODEIA).
Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-WY) is also going after one of Biden’s ODEIA offices, the Office of Personnel Management.
Funding for climate change could also be on the chopping block as Republican Rep. Russell Fry (SC) introduced an amendment that would stop funds to the Treasury’s Climate Hub.
“House Republicans have pledged to pass 12 individual spending bills, each targeting a narrow part of the federal government, to fund U.S. priorities in fiscal year 2024,” Fox News reports.
But it might be wise for Republicans in the House to hold their breath, as the Democrats might axe the bills due to their conservative agenda.
The Biden White House has also said they would veto some of the proposed spending bills by Republicans.
But despite the Democrats’ refusal to play ball with these bills, it’s nice to see Republicans coming together to fight back against the Left after much turmoil invaded the party due to Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA) removal as speaker of the House.
Now, guided by current Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), Republicans have a game plan that they can use to go after the Biden admin.
And with offices like Kamala Harris’ potentially losing a decent portion if not all of their funding, perhaps things like border security will get the funds it deserves.
It will also be interesting to see President Biden’s and Vice President Harris’ response to threats to rip apart their woke offices within their administration.
In all honesty, the response will likely come in the form of a gaffe or jumbled sentence by both the president and the VP.
