The mainstream media has been a thorn in the side of Donald Trump’s for years. But now they’re finally getting what they deserve.
Because the White House Press Secretary didn’t hold back in a scathing rebuke of Leftist media.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt strongly criticized the media and Democratic politicians on Wednesday, accusing them of deliberately spreading misinformation to create discord within the Trump administration. Leavitt’s comments come amid heightened scrutiny over the role of tech mogul Elon Musk, who has been tasked with leading audits of the federal bureaucracy as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
During a press conference on Thursday, a reporter posed a pointed question about Musk’s authority, asking whether he effectively wielded the “power of the presidency.” Leavitt swiftly dismissed the notion, calling the question “utterly ridiculous.”
“Elon Musk is serving at the pleasure of the president, just like everybody else on this team. He takes directives directly from the President of the United States, and I think some of the comments that you referred to are nothing more than a failed attempt from the media and from Democrats to try to sow division in this White House,” Leavitt asserted.
She went on to point out a familiar pattern in the media’s coverage of the administration. “We saw them do it in the first term. We’re not going to let them do it in the second term. This is a unified team who is working at the pleasure of the president to do what’s right for the American people.”

Musk, a vocal advocate for efficiency and accountability in government, has faced mounting criticism from Democratic lawmakers and mainstream media figures for his approach to streamlining bureaucracy. His efforts to cut down on redundancy and refocus federal spending priorities to align with President Donald Trump’s agenda have sparked fierce opposition.
Despite the pushback, Trump has made it clear that he supports Musk and DOGE’s mission. On Tuesday, the president signed an executive order expanding Musk’s authority, granting him increased oversight over federal agencies. The order mandates that agencies “coordinate and consult” with DOGE when making hiring decisions and restricts new hires to only “essential positions.” This move aligns with Trump’s overall goal of significantly reducing the size of government.
Musk was alongside Trump in the Oval Office for the signing and took questions from reporters. Emphasizing the necessity of auditing federal agencies, he warned against the dangers of unchecked bureaucracy:
“If there’s not a good feedback loop from the people to the government, and if you have rule of the bureaucrat, if the bureaucracy is in charge, then what meaning does democracy actually have?” Musk questioned. “If the people cannot vote and have their will be decided by their elected representatives in the form of the president and the Senate and the House, then we don’t live in a democracy; we live in a bureaucracy.”

Leftist Media Proves Why They Aren’t Trusted
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt latest clash with the media highlights a bigger issue: the growing distrust of mainstream news outlets by the American public.
For years, major networks and publications have faced accusations of bias, often favoring narratives that undermine conservative figures and policies. This skepticism has only deepened as Americans witness repeated attempts to delegitimize the Trump administration through misleading headlines and selective reporting.
Polling consistently reflects this erosion of trust. Large segments of the population believe that mainstream outlets no longer report the news objectively, but rather operate as political actors pushing an agenda. The media’s coverage of Musk and DOGE is seen by many as just another example of this pattern—casting doubt on the administration’s motives while ignoring the inefficiencies that Musk is working to eliminate.
By calling out the media’s tactics, the Trump administration is not merely defending itself but also reinforcing its commitment to transparency and accountability.
As more Americans grow disillusioned with traditional news sources, the White House continues to challenge narratives it views as deceptive, ensuring that the public hears the full story—not just the version crafted by legacy media institutions that have a major Leftist bias.
