President Biden is showing exactly why he’s bad for the U.S. His proposals are nothing short of dangerous.
And this proposed plan by the Biden administration has Americans fearing for their lives.
Joe Biden’s policies have been disastrous, to say the least.
From open borders causing a mass influx of illegal aliens, to skyrocketing inflation, the 80-year-old President has been on an unfortunate tear.
But now things are only going to get worse.
The Biden Department of the Interior has drafted an environmental impact statement (EIS) that would release wild grizzly bears in the northern part of Washington state, specifically in the North Cascades National Park.
Residents in the surrounding area are nervous that the dangerous predator could expand out of the park and make its way into residential areas.
“Central Washingtonians have consistently voice their concerns and opposition over the introduction of grizzly bears into the North Cascades Ecosystem, yet unelected bureaucrats from the National Park Service and the Fish and Wildlife Service continue to try to force these predators upon our communities,” U.S. Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-WA) explained.
“These agencies should listen to the people who would be most impacted by these actions and immediately withdraw their proposed rule and draft EIS statement so members of the region can rest safely knowing that an 800-pound apex predator is not going to enter into their backyard.”
Congressman Newhouse has introduced legislation to stop the proposed release of grizzlies by the Department of the Interior.
According to the federal government, the plan is to have a healthy population of 200 grizzly bears in the North Cascades area.
That species of bear hasn’t been confirmed to have been seen in the area since 1996, according to the National Parks System.
And it looks like as Newhouse as mentioned, the local community is fine with continuing to not see these dangerous animals.
“We have previously provided extensive comments opposing grizzly bear reintroduction into our local communities,” Chelan County, Washington commissioners stated.
“We continue to oppose grizzly bear reintroduction given the likely negative impacts to public safety, economic development, recreation opportunities, and the overall livelihood of our rural communities.”
The commissioners also explained that federal agencies have “failed to address these concerns” with the reintroduction of grizzlies in the North Cascades.
This is yet another example of government overreach by Joe Biden and the Left.
They treat environmentalism like it’s a religion, doing anything and everything they can to pass ridiculous environmental laws that negatively impact U.S. citizens.
Thankfully, Republicans have a congressman like Newhouse is willing to fight back against the radical environmentalists in the Biden administration.
