Donald Trump has made a lot of enemies on the Left. Every one of them are hoping for the worst for the former President.
And an Obama ally just made a devastating prediction about Trump’s court case.
Former President Donald Trump has been the victim of a political witch hunt over the past few years.
He’s been indicted for several criminal charges, including allegedly attempting to overturn the 2020 election and a civil fraud charge in New York state.
During these court cases, Trump has been administered a gag order to prevent him from talking about witnesses, the judges’ staff, or any other members of the court.
Trump has already violated a gag order in his civil trial in New York and was subsequently fined $10,000.
But in an appearance on MSNBC’s Inside, former acting Solicitor General for the Obama Administration, Neal Katyal told host Jen Psaki, that the former president is likely to violate these gag orders even more.
“There are two different gag orders. One, Trump has already violated, the one in New York state, in which he has been fined now twice. And then there’s this one that you’re talking about the federal level with Jack Smith. And that one has been put on pause,” Katyal said.
“I think Donald Trump has made the best case of anyone. He is witnessing for why you need the gag order in effect. Because the moment that gag order was put on pause, he started developing and attacking people left and right.”
Katyal then went on to tell Psaki, that he expects a heftier punishment for Donald Trump as opposed to a fine of thousands of dollars.
“So I think that there is no doubt in my mind that there will be a gag order imposed on Donald Trump. And there also is no doubt in my mind that he is going to violate it repeatedly.”
“Repeatedly to the point where a judge is going to have to confront the ultimate question, are we going to put the former president in jail? And I think there is only one answer to that.”
“What is your answer,” Psaki inquired.
“Which is you have to. If he continues this behavior, no other litigant in this country would ever be able to do what he is doing,” Katyal answered.
Democrats are foaming at the mouth thinking about a possible Trump jail or prison sentence.
That’s why they are appearing on leftist media outlets and thinking of every possible situation in which Donald Trump could end up behind bars.
“Judges, I don’t care what your politics are, the one thing you understand when you put on that robe is that it is about the legitimacy of the court and about the judicial process,” Katyal continued.
Donald Trump needs to watch his back moving forward.
From now on every little thing he does will be highly scrutinized and potentially used against him in court.
