The Left has always been against freedoms for U.S. citizens. But this crosses the line.
And a top Democrat unleashes a diabolical plan to spy on Americans.
Free speech is not something that Leftists are fond of.
For years they’ve tried to limit it in an effort to battle hate speech.
Of course hate speech is completely subjective and oftentimes Democrats use the term so frequently that it doesn’t really mean anything anymore.
But that’s not stopping New York Governor Kathy Hochul (D) from trying to destroy hate speech altogether through “surveillance efforts” on social media.
“We’re very focused on the data we’re collecting from surveillance efforts, what’s being said on social media platforms, and we have launched an effort to be able to counter some of the negativity and reach out to people when we see hate speech being spoken about on online platforms,” Hochul said.
“Our social media analysis unit has ramped up its monitoring of sites to catch incitement of violence, direct threats to others, and all this is in response to our desire, our strong commitment, to ensure that not only do New Yorkers be safe, but they also feel safe.”

Hochul’s comments about social media surveillance were part of a speech covering a joint terrorism task force and staff being added to the force.
“Governor Hochul has directed an additional $2.5 million to the New York State Police to deploy ten additional investigators in New York City, Albany, Buffalo, and Rochester, ensuring the State Police has a presence in all JTTF investigative groups and areas,” according to a press release.
The state police over the last 10 years have also purchased programs like Dataminr and ShadowDragon to help sort through social media data.
“As I said, no one walking down the street or in the subway should feel they have to hide any indications of what their religious beliefs are,” the governor continued.
“We expect to see people celebrating their lives, walking about freely, and that is no longer the case because people are living in fear. They have a right to do whatever they want in the state of New York.”
It’s difficult to live and walk about freely when Hochul is forming a tyrannical government that wants to spy on citizens’ social media accounts for so-called “hate speech.”
And Hochul’s proposal sets a very dangerous precedent that gives the government way too much power.
No matter which political party is in charge, the government should not be able to decide what is hate speech and what isn’t.
But with Democrats at the helm, hate speech is likely considered speech they don’t like whether it’s factual or not.
Sure, Hochul’s plan could help find evil individuals online who are launching credible threats against people, but instead she wants to snuff out social media users who are saying things she and her party don’t like or agree with.
