The GOP has been the victim of a flawed justice system in recent months. And the Left couldn’t be happier about it.
As a federal judge steamrolled this Republican governor for the worst reason imaginable.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) has been a champion for conservative causes ever since he was elected governor of the Sunshine State.
He’s stood up to the woke ideology that’s been heavily pushed by the Left and the Biden administration.
He recently pushed for a law that would ban transgender treatments for minors and would also decrease transgender procedures given to adults.
But one federal judge has decided that the ban was “unconstitutional.”
U.S. District Judge Robert L. Hinkle has shot down the majority of the law pushed by DeSantis after a lawsuit was submitted by parents of transgender adults and children.
According to The Washington Post, the reasoning behind Hinkle’s ruling was that “gender identity is real” and a state can’t stop treatments relating to transgenderism.
“Florida has adopted a statute and rules that ban gender-affirming care for minors even when medically appropriate,” the judge said in his case file.
“The ban is unconstitutional.”
The bill officially went into law on May 2024, according to reports from Health News Florida.
Florida became the first state in the country to strike down certain aspects of transgender care to adults when the bill went into effect.
And before Judge Hinkle’s ruling against it, the law stopped doctors from giving minors “puberty blockers, hormone therapy, and surgical procedures,” according to Health news Florida.
As for the law’s effects on adults, telehealth is banned during transgender procedures. Consent forms are also given to these adults who want to undergo transgender care.
“It’s kind of sad that we even have some of these discussions,” Gov. DeSantis said during the signing of the bill.
According to Forrest Saunders, a journalist for E.W. Scripps, DeSantis’ press secretary, Jeremy Redfern has announced that an appeal of Hinkle’s ruling will be brought forward.
“We disagree with the Court’s erroneous rulings on the law, on the facts, and on the science. As we’ve seen here in Florida, the United Kingdom, and across Europe, there is no quality evidence to support the chemical and physical mutilation of children,” Redfern said.
“These procedures do permanent, life-altering damage to children, and history will look back on this fad in horror. Under Governor Ron DeSantis, Florida will continue to fight to ensure children are not chemically or physically mutilated in the name of radical, new age ‘gender ideology.’ We will appeal this ruling.”

It’s in the state’s best interest for DeSantis’ appeal to go through.
The transgender ideology is incredibly harmful, especially to children. And it seems as though the Left could care less about that.
