Donald Trump is starting to gain the support of non-conservatives. And it’s causing the Democrat Party to panic.
As Leftists are stunned after this former Democrat presidential candidate endorsed Trump.
Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard officially endorsed former President Donald Trump on Monday at a National Guard Association event in Michigan, a crucial battleground state.
Gabbard, a former Democrat and 2020 presidential candidate who ran against Vice President Kamala Harris, has a long history of service in the Army National Guard.
Her backing of Trump came as the two commemorated the third anniversary of the Kabul airport bombing, a tragic event that claimed the lives of 13 U.S. service members during the withdrawal from Afghanistan.
“This administration has us facing multiple wars on multiple fronts and regions around the world and closer to the brink of nuclear war than we ever have been before,” Gabbard stated at the event. “This is one of the main reasons why I’m committed to doing all that I can to send President Trump back to the White House, where he can once again serve us as our commander-in-chief.”
Gabbard’s endorsement underlines a deep concern over the current administration’s foreign policy. Her emphasis on Trump’s diplomatic approach to international conflicts highlights her belief that he could once again be a stabilizing force on the global stage.
Gabbard, who helped Trump prepare for his upcoming debate against Harris, had previously served in Congress from 2013 to 2021.
After leaving the Democratic Party in 2022, citing its transformation into an “elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness,” she has often aligned with Republicans, particularly in the 2022 midterm elections.
Central to Gabbard’s endorsement is her stance on foreign policy and her desire to steer the U.S. away from further military entanglements. Painting a picture of a country on “the brink of war,” she praised Trump’s approach to diplomacy, saying he “understands the grave responsibility that a president and commander in chief bears for every single one of our lives.”
Gabbard lauded Trump’s record, highlighting his willingness to exhaust all diplomatic avenues before resorting to armed conflict.
“He exercised the courage that we expect from our commander in chief in exhausting all measures of diplomacy, having the courage to meet with adversaries, dictators, allies, and partners alike in the pursuit of peace, seeing war as a last resort,” she emphasized.
“We cannot be prosperous unless we are at peace. And we can’t live free as long as we have a government that is retaliating against its political opponents and undermining our civil liberties, weaponizing our very institutions, against those they deem as a threat.”
The event, held in Detroit, followed a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington Cemetery’s Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Both Trump and Gabbard were joined by the families of some of the service members who perished in the chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal.
Trump used the opportunity to criticize the Biden administration’s handling of the exit, specifically targeting Harris. “We were going to do it with dignity and strength,” Trump told his audience. “We gave it up. We gave them everything.”
In response, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) wasted no time in denouncing Gabbard’s support of Trump. The DNC labeled her an “extremist,” arguing that her endorsement would only harm Trump’s 2024 campaign.
“Donald Trump’s MAGA brand is so toxic that he’s resorted to touting support from off-putting extremists like RFK Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard,” DNC Rapid Response Director Alex Floyd said. “Gabbard and Trump have a lot in common – they have both earned the praises of white supremacists and other extremists, celebrated the overturning of Roe v. Wade, and campaigned for dangerous election deniers.”
It’s obvious that Gabbard’s endorsement is enormously positive for Trump if the DNC is this upset about it.
Perhaps they should consider changing their ways, considering two former Democrats, Tulsi Gabbard and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., have abandoned the party to support Donald Trump in the span of less than a week.
