Joe Biden is clearly not with it. He’s definitely deteriorated over the last few months.

And the latest Biden gaffe shows just how grave the president’s health situation really is.

Biden’s Birthday Blunder Sparks Online Buzz

President Biden found himself at the center of social media chatter after an awkward moment while singing “Happy Birthday” to a guest at a White House event.

The incident, which quickly went viral, was the latest in a series of gaffes that have drawn scrutiny to the president’s verbal missteps.

The occasion was the signing of the Social Security Fairness Act on Sunday. Among the attendees was 17-year-old Eliseo Jimenez, who gained national attention for his remarkable journey walking from Lubbock, Texas, to Washington, D.C., to raise awareness about the limitations of Social Security.

Biden, in his remarks, praised Jimenez’s dedication. “Eliseo is just around the corner from receiving Social Security,” he quipped, before noting that Jimenez’s birthday was the following day.

However, the lighthearted moment took an awkward turn when Biden led the crowd in singing “Happy Birthday.” As they reached the part where the name is sung, Biden appeared to falter. Instead of clearly saying “Eliseo,” he mumbled inaudibly, prompting laughter from Jimenez, who seemed to interpret it as a joke.

This verbal slip added fuel to ongoing criticism about Biden’s mental sharpness, particularly among his detractors. Video clips of the moment spread quickly online, drawing reactions ranging from humor to concern.

Tim Young, a comedian and podcaster, remarked, “Biden brought a guy on stage to sing happy birthday to him… The problem is he either doesn’t know his name or forgot it… and mumbled nonsense instead. Only 15 more days of this…”

Kyle Lamb, an economic analyst and former staffer for Governor Ron DeSantis, likened the scene to a relatable struggle. “Me when I’m in the car and after the chorus, the second verse begins and I’m trying to confidently assure myself I know the lyrics,” he joked.

Other commentators joined in, with The Spectator’s Stephen L. Miller comparing the gaffe to awkward restaurant birthday serenades. “Me every time the restaurant starts singing to the stupid kid,” he quipped.

The incident also reignited broader concerns among critics about the implications of Biden’s cognitive abilities. Drew Holden, managing editor at American Compass, expressed alarm at what he views as the president’s mental decline.

“It’s horrifying to imagine the consequences of Biden’s cognitive decline that will only be reported after he shuffles off the public stage. The most powerful man in the world’s brain doesn’t work. Those who wish us ill aren’t unaware,” he said.

Jon Miltimore, senior editor at the American Institute for Economic Research, took a similar stance. “This is the most Joe Biden thing ever,” he commented.

Others, like podcaster Shawn Farash, mocked Biden’s defenders. “He most definitely did NOT remember his name and just mumbled through it,” Farash wrote, adding that similar incidents would previously have been dismissed as manipulated footage.

This isn’t the first time Biden has stumbled over a name while singing “Happy Birthday.” In January 2023, during the National Action Network’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day breakfast, he appeared to forget the name of Arndrea Waters King, the wife of Martin Luther King III. As he sang, Biden seemed to substitute her name with “Valen” before quickly moving on.

While Biden laughed off the earlier incident, these repeated moments have left critics questioning his ability to lead effectively. For supporters, they serve as fodder for humor, but for opponents, they reinforce concerns about the president’s capacity to navigate the demands of his office.
