A top Biden official went on CBS and had a total meltdown

ATF Director Steven Dettelbach

The White House is hanging on by a thread. They prove every day just how far gone they truly are.

And now a top Biden official went on CBS and had a total meltdown.

ATF Director Steven Dettelbach, a Democrat, made multiple blunders about firearms in an interview that aired over the weekend.

Speaking with Margaret Brennan on CBS News’ “Face The Nation,” Dettelbach stood in front of a table laden with weaponry, attempting to exploit what he claimed were gaps that allow people to circumvent gun rules.

While discussing the number of bullets that some AK version rifles could fire, Dettelbach displayed a lack of basic firearm terminology, such as the distinction between a clip and a magazine.

Moments later, he revealed that he had no idea what a pistol brace was, claiming that it was the same as a butt stock.

Pistol braces allow the person operating the handgun to insert their wrist through the device and tighten it with velcro, allowing the operator to fire the weapon with only one hand.

Brennan’s behavior of the interview made it plain that the part was designed to be pro-gun control propaganda, as she stood with her arms crossed, displaying disdain and perpetuating the false narrative that the Second Amendment was created for “hunting.”

The Second Amendment was enacted to provide self-defense and a check against government tyranny.

Dettelbach also asked gun retailers to refuse to sell specific types of firearms, such as big caliber rifles, to cash-paying customers and to call the ATF so that they can conduct an investigation.

“And for those who aren’t doing that, I hope and expect that, as Americans, we will do that,” he said.

“But for those who aren’t, somebody comes into your store, in a border state and plunks down $12,000 cash money for one of these [.50 caliber rifles], so that there’s no credit card trail, I mean, my word, we hope that people will help us as Americans and continue to help us and not make that sale and protect our safety.”

“I’m just sort of doing a little bit of a commercial, for those who are going to be at the counter, thinking about it, do not let this happen,” he begged.

“Please help us to stop this. We respect you. We depend on you. Please, as firearms dealers help us to stop this.”

He stated that if a guy and a woman enter a store and the male asks all of the questions before having the woman purchase the firearm, “all sorts of alarm bells should be going off” and the gun dealer should not sell to that couple.

During the sit-down segment of the interview, Dettelbach stated that his agency, which has thousands of agents, was “way, way, way too small.”

Brennan also posed a question to Dettelbach about how Congress preserving Americans’ Second Amendment and privacy rights by prohibiting the ATF from establishing a federal gun registry was a “impediment” to the ATF’s objective.
