The president had a chance to bring the country together. But instead, he massively fumbled that opportunity.
And Biden delivered these shocking statements after Trump was nearly assassinated.
In a live address to the nation on Sunday evening, President Joe Biden aimed to calm the political climate following the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump.
However, his speech was marred by several gaffes and verbal slip-ups.
At one point, Biden declared, “In America, we resolve our differences at the Battle Box. Now, that’s how we do it, at the Battle Box. Not with bullets.” This statement, intended to emphasize peaceful conflict resolution, instead left many viewers puzzled.

Biden continued, “The power to change America should always rest in the hands of the people, not in the hands of a would-be assassin. You know the path forward through competing visions of the campaign should always be resolved peacefully, not through acts of violence. We are blessed to live in the greatest country on earth, and I believe that with every soul, every power of my being.”
In another moment, he appeared to struggle with his words, stating, “Tonight, I’m asking every American to recommit to make America so….make America….well, think about it, what’s made America so special.”
This seemed to be an attempt to avoid using the phrase “make America great again.”
Biden emphasized the importance of unity, saying, “Here in America, while unity is the most elusive of goal of goals right now, nothing is more important for us now than standing together.”
However, he also mistakenly referred to Trump as “former Trump” during his address.
This isn’t the first time Biden has faced criticism for his verbal blunders.
In May, during a press conference with Kenyan President William Ruto, he mistakenly referred to Vice President Kamala Harris as the “nation’s first black vice president, President Kamala Harris.”
More recently, in a solo press conference, Biden confused Harris with Donald Trump, referring to her as Vice President Donald Trump. Additionally, he introduced Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as Russian President Vladimir Putin.
As previously reported by Breitbart News, Biden also raised eyebrows during an event in Ireland when he urged the crowd to “lick the world,” a confusing attempt to highlight the cooperation between the United States and Ireland.
President Biden had a prime opportunity to turn down the political temperature of the nation on Sunday.
But instead, he couldn’t even do that as he made gaffe after gaffe and continued to prove he’s not fit to lead the United States as commander-in-chief.
