Joe Biden’s administration is filled with bad actors. Almost all of them can be considered radical Leftists.
And a Biden official was caught red-handed making disgusting statements about Trump supporters.
A Biden administration official responsible for addressing “systemic racism” is under scrutiny after a trove of deleted social media posts surfaced, revealing controversial remarks about Trump supporters and praise for anti-police rhetoric.
Desiree Cormier Smith, the State Department’s first Special Representative for Racial Equity and Justice, is now at the center of a growing political firestorm.
The posts, uncovered by The Daily Wire, showcase Smith’s outspoken views before her 2022 appointment. Between October 2020 and January 2021, Smith, a former employee of George Soros’ Open Society Foundations, openly criticized Trump supporters as racist and celebrated an incendiary speech by Left-wing activist Keiajah Brooks.
In a widely shared video from a Kansas City Police Commission meeting, Brooks lambasted law enforcement, describing officers as “soulless white people” and launching into personal attacks against commission members.
Smith praised Brooks’ remarks, calling her “Queen Brooks” and requesting someone to add music to the viral clip. “We need this kind of honesty and accountability across all our government institutions!!” Smith wrote in one post. She also supported Brooks’ statements that included calling a commissioner an “out-of-touch and disconnected old white person” with “pure apathy seeping through the bulging veins of his paper-colored skin.”
Smith’s role, which involves building “global partnerships to combat systemic racism, discrimination, and xenophobia,” aligns with the Biden administration’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) priorities. However, her divisive commentary has drawn criticism from Republicans.
When speaking to The Daily Wire, Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX), Chair of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, called Smith’s remarks damaging to the State Department’s mission.
“The State Department exists to protect and advance the interests of the American people at home and abroad. However, many of Ms. Smith’s comments only serve to divide Americans and damage our cause and credibility on the world stage,” McCaul said. He reiterated his support for President Trump’s pledge to remove DEI initiatives from federal agencies.
Smith’s social media activity also highlighted her far-Left perspectives on race and politics. Following the 2020 election, she tweeted, “Black Voters Saved White America Again and You’re Very Welcome.”
In another post, she implied that the close presidential race reflected the persistence of white supremacy in the U.S. She also criticized the Electoral College, calling it a relic of racism, and advocated for reparations, stating, “We begin to repair our nations through reparations and healing.”
Smith’s posts extended to personal experiences, including an accusation of “subtle racism” by a nurse during a hospital visit.
She alleged that the nurse’s failure to escort her to the restroom after sedation was an example of systemic bias, claiming such incidents “k*ll Black women.”
Beyond social media, Smith made headlines for her comments on white diplomats.
In a podcast interview, she argued that white foreign service officers lacked the “humility” displayed by their non-white counterparts, describing them as overly “protective” of the United States.
Now, as Trump’s potential return to the White House looms, Smith’s role may be at risk. The incoming administration has vowed to dismantle DEI programs and remove officials aligned with these initiatives.
For Smith, whose annual salary exceeds $180,000, this could mean the end of her tenure as the administration pivots away from Biden-era priorities.
And her departure from Washington, D.C. couldn’t happen any quicker.
