The Biden administration has run amok of justice in America. But House Republicans are holding them accountable for their actions.
Because Joe Biden’s FBI is being forced to bend the knee to House Republicans by handing over a critical document.
The Republicans in the House of Representatives have had a hell of a time trying to get the FBI, DOJ, and the White House to cooperate with a number of their important investigations.
Most recently, the FBI refused to hand over a document that pertained to an investigation by House Republicans into whether Joe Biden was guilty of a bribery scheme during his time as Vice President to Barack Obama.
Several times the House of Representatives requested that the FBI cooperate with the investigation and hand over the documents they requested that were completely within their purview.
But the deadlines set by the House for the FBI to turn over the documents in question came and went. They completely ignored the requests.
In response, House Republicans led by House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) were preparing to hold the director of the FBI, Christopher Wray, in contempt of court for failing to produce the documents.
That came to a head Wednesday this week as Republicans were literally in the middle of releasing a new resolution to hold Christopher Wray in contempt of court.
Right as that was released, the FBI had completely changed its tune.
The FBI is now allegedly cooperating with the House of Representatives to turn over the documents in question regarding a possible bribery scheme of then-Vice President Joe Biden.
Fox News reports:
The source familiar said all members of the panel would be able to view the document in question — an FBI-generated 1023 form — in a secure location. It is unclear whether the secure location would be in a SCIF (sensitive compartmented information facility) on Capitol Hill or at the FBI’s headquarters.
The Fox News report notes that James Comer was about to have a vote on Christopher Wray’s contempt of court charges early Thursday morning.
Those votes were canceled now that the FBI is cooperating with the investigations.
Furthermore, the FBI will also now be making available two more documents for Chairman Comer and his colleagues in the House to review as they might be pertinent to the investigation as well.
Comer released a statement enjoying the fact that the FBI has finally decided to come to their senses and take at least one step towards regaining trust from the American people.
“Americans have lost trust in the FBI’s ability to enforce the law impartially and demand answers, transparency, and accountability. Allowing all Oversight Committee members to review this record is an important step toward conducting oversight of the FBI and holding it accountable to the American people,” he said in an official statement.
He also added that the American people can rest assured that his Committee will continue to investigate the claims made by a whistleblower testifying to his team.
“The allegations contained within this record track closely with the Oversight Committee’s investigation of the Biden family’s influence-peddling schemes. The Oversight Committee will continue to follow the facts and ensure accountability for the American people,” he added.
It’s definitely interesting that the FBI finally caved after their feet were held to the fire by the House Republicans conducting the investigations.
Christopher Wray may have been advised by the White House to have the FBI comply with the House of Representatives because an FBI director being held in contempt of court is the last thing he wants right now.
