Joe Biden’s tenure as commander-in-chief has been rocky at best. But now he might not have any time to fix the horrid policy decisions he’s made.
As Biden’s presidency could be coming to an end after what Congress just announced.
President Joe Biden’s foreign policy regarding the Israel-Hamas war has been disastrous.
At first, he supported Israel after they were hit with a brutal terrorist attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023.
Pro-Palestinian protestors in the country, many of whom identify as Leftists and potential Biden voters, made their displeasure of the president’s support of the Jewish nation known through unhinged protests in places like college campuses.
They called for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, but it was warned that a terrorist organization like Hamas wouldn’t actually adhere to a proper ceasefire.
Now, Joe Biden is trying to appease both sides of the aisle on this matter and has taken a step back with his support of Israel.
Specifically, he is refusing to deliver weapons to Israel if they launch an invasion of Rafah, one of Hamas’ last major strongholds.
And members of the U.S. House are calling Biden out for this move.
Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) has announced that the House has “no choice” but to hit the president with impeachment for not sending over aid to Israel that was approved by Congress.
Mills also explained that Biden is “pressuring Israel, our biggest ally in the Middle East, by pausing their funding that has already been approved in the House, if they don’t stop all operations with Hamas. It’s a very clear message, ‘this for that.'”
A similar occurrence in 2019 happened to then-President Donald Trump. The House, which was controlled by Democrats at the time, impeached Trump for hitting pause on aid to Ukraine which was approved by Congress.
“These are the same accusations made against President Trump, which resulted in his impeachment by Democrats. The same must happen for Joe Biden, which is why we’re drawing up articles of impeachment now,” Mills stated, according to Fox News.
Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA) is also calling for Biden to be impeached, and claims that political reasons are why the president is stopping aid from going to Israel.
“Given Democrats’ Trump-Ukraine precedent, President Biden’s decision to withhold lethal aid to our ally, Israel, for political gain is undoubtedly an impeachable offense,” Clyde explained.
“Cleary, the nefarious motive behind our commander in chief’s move to condition U.S. aid to Israel is to appease radical leftists and Hamas sympathizers ahead of the 2024 election. The House must immediately open an impeachment inquiry due to the president’s disastrous decision to play politics with national security.”
Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) also agrees with impeaching Biden.
He actually listed off several other reasons why the president should face impeachment.
“The Democrats made their bed, and now they’re [lying] in it. This is just the latest on a long list of reasons to impeach Biden, including the deadline withdrawal in Afghanistan and allowing more than 9 million illegal immigrants to invade our southern border.”
