Democrat Attorney General disobeys direct order from President Trump, chaos unleashes

New York Attorney General Letitia James

The Democrats don’t care that President Trump won in November. They’re trying to stage a coup.

Because a Democrat Attorney General disobeyed a direct order from President Trump and has unleashed chaos.

New York Attorney General Tells Hospitals To Disobey Trump Order

On Monday, New York Attorney General Letitia James issued a stern warning to hospitals, advising them not to comply with President Donald Trump’s executive order that aims to prohibit s*x-change procedures for minors. James emphasized that following this directive would violate New York state law, which mandates the protection of gender-affirming medical care.

The executive order, signed last week, is titled “Protecting Children From Chemical And Surgical Mutilation.” Its primary objective is to place strict restrictions on “chemical and surgical” s*x-change procedures for minors, claiming these procedures, often involving puberty blockers and gender-affirming surgeries, pose significant risks to children. The order asserts that medical professionals are “maiming and sterilizing a growing number of impressionable children” under the false belief that s*x can be changed through irreversible medical interventions.

“Across the country today, medical professionals are maiming and sterilizing a growing number of impressionable children under the radical and false claim that adults can change a child’s s*x through a series of irreversible medical interventions,” the executive order reads. “This dangerous trend will be a stain on our Nation’s history, and it must end.”

The order further clarifies that the U.S. government will not fund, sponsor, or promote the so-called “transition” of children from one s*x to another, reiterating its opposition to such practices on a federal level.

In her response, Attorney General James stated that any refusal by healthcare providers to offer gender-affirming treatment would be a violation of New York’s anti-discrimination laws, which are designed to protect individuals’ rights to access healthcare, including so-called “gender-affirming” care.

“Regardless of the availability of federal funding, we write to further remind you of your obligations to comply with New York State laws,” James wrote in her letter to hospitals. The statement underscores the state’s commitment to ensuring that gender-affirming care remains accessible and protected under state law, regardless of any federal restrictions.

In an email to the Associated Press, GNYHA spokesperson Brian Conway stated that the organization is currently consulting with hospitals to assess the implications of the executive order. “We are collaboratively working through every aspect of the EO to determine its legal and clinical implications,” Conway wrote. “That work is ongoing.”

Trump’s executive order primarily targets two types of treatments often associated with gender-affirming care for minors: puberty blockers and s*x reassignment surgeries. Puberty blockers, like the drug Lupron, are used to delay the onset of puberty in transgender minors, providing them with more time to explore their gender identity. However, critics, including Fox News Channel senior medical analyst Dr. Marc Siegel, have raised concerns about the long-term effects of these treatments.

In a recent interview, Dr. Siegel discussed the potential risks of puberty blockers and surgeries, particularly for minors. He pointed out that drugs like Lupron, which are also used to treat prostate cancer, can have significant side effects. These include interference with bone growth, fertility, and cognitive function when combined with hormones. Siegel argued that these long-term effects are not fully understood and should raise alarms about the use of puberty blockers in minors.

“Puberty blockers, the main one is Lupron, which we use for prostate cancer, enough said,” Siegel said. “I mean, it interferes with bone growth, it can potentially interfere with fertility if it’s combined with hormones, and it can interfere with thinking and cognition. I don’t believe that we can say the puberty blockers with hormones don’t have long-term side effects, they do.”

Dr. Siegel also highlighted the irreversibility of gender-affirming surgeries, particularly mastectomies and genital surgeries, and expressed concerns about performing such procedures on minors who may not fully understand the long-term consequences of their decisions. He suggested that while some advocates for these procedures argue that waiting to transition may cause greater psychological harm to children, there is conflicting research on the issue.

“Surgery, we’re talking about mastectomies, we’re talking about upper and lower surgeries. I think that that’s something that’s not reversible and it should never be done on children,” Siegel said. “Proponents of this will say, ‘Well, the longer you wait, the more the child suffers.’ I think that there’s conflicting research on that. I’m not convinced of that.”

Siegel also stressed the importance of mental health counseling and evaluation before any medical interventions take place, noting that gender confusion among children could often be addressed through therapy and counseling. He raised concerns about children being pressured into making irreversible decisions about their gender identity without fully understanding the potential consequences.

“You have a child, they’re having gender confusion. Did they get enough mental health counseling?” Siegel asked. “Did they get a chance to develop? Are they being pressured politically by somebody in society, their parents? And then, most importantly, is the intervention leading to something that’s not reversible?”
