The Biden administration’s radicalism is getting out of hand. Even Democrats are jumping ship.
And now Democrats in Congress are forming an alliance with the GOP leaving Joe Biden splitting mad.
The Joe Biden administration, even more than the Barack Obama administration, has been pushing for the total reliance on only “green” energy sources in America as soon as possible.
The only problem with that is that the development of so-called “green” energy sources is still not where it needs to be in order to support all of the manufacturing needs in America and support the power grid.
But the Democrats have been using climate change alarmism to try to scare people with the idea that if we don’t all stop using gas cars tomorrow, we’re all gonna die from “extreme weather” and rising tides. They’ve been saying this for decades of course.
In California, Democrats had sent a request to the Biden administration to make it illegal for any gas-operated cars to be sold after the year 2035. They want to take California’s rules and regulations and nationalize them.
Well, Republicans in Congress are standing up to this nonsense. And they’re even recruiting Democrats for the fight.
On Thursday, the House of Representatives passed a bill that would block climate change legislation that would phase out the sale of new gasoline-powered automobiles.
To prevent the Environmental Protection Agency from approving state regulations that directly or indirectly limit the sale of vehicles with internal combustion engines, the Republican-led chamber voted 222-190 to amend the Clean Air Act, with the backing of a little over a half-dozen Democrats.
The California government is currently requesting a dispensation from the Biden administration in order to phase out sales of new gas-powered vehicles by the year 2035. The Preserving Choice in Vehicle Purchases Act recently passed by the House of Representatives would deny this request. California’s former automobile regulations are the harshest in the US and require exceptions because they exceed federal emissions rules; in the past, seventeen states have adopted all or part of these criteria.
The legislation had the support of all the Republicans in the chamber and eight Democrats, making it the latest example of Democratic politicians, especially those in difficult districts, going against President Biden’s green energy program.
The bill is almost certainly going to face its end in the Democrat-controlled U.S. Senate, but that’s not what makes this development interesting.
Democrats are starting to show that they have a kink in their armor, at least on this issue of so-called “climate change” and whether we ought to just outright ban certain energy sources from the market.
Now even Democrats from all across the country are finding that they can’t get behind the radicalism of the Joe Biden administration lest they risk angering their constituency back home.
We’re watching this play out as high-profile Democrats are calling it quits on the Party just as sitting U.S. Senator Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ) and former congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) have recently.
Furthermore, the Democrats like to claim to be the party that supports “the science,” but they simply don’t. At least not anymore.
Any rational approach to the discussion of energy and safe energy uses would lead one to seriously consider the powerful and important energy source of nuclear power.
The Democrats, however, won’t touch nuclear energy with a 100-foot pole because they insist that the United States needs to lead the world in ending the proliferation of nuclear resources and capabilities rather than using it more.
Not using nuclear energy is simply shooting yourself in the foot. Just like trying to ban the sale of gas cars. Battery-operated cars are simply not where they need to be for the average American to feel comfortable using them day-to-day en masse. Democrats are asking for a market disaster if they want to control everyone like that.
But that’s what this is ultimately about right? Use climate alarmism to push your socialist agenda onto everyone else.
